I'm giving this 5 stars because for commercial canned chili it's surprisingly good. If you buy chili in a restaurant you will definitely pay more for it than for this. I think this is pretty good chili and especially since you only have to heat and serve it. The only caveat I would give is that because it's Mexican style it is pretty spicy. So if you don't like spicy or hot food then this is not for you. You can also get either with or without beans. I can definitely recommend this product.
Normally buy the Campbell's spicy chili. but decided to get a can of this to try it. Now, I usually add leftover taco meat to these cans, because honestly I feel there is not enough meat in the cans. I did in this case. There was not much in the way of corn in this can, but it was definitely spicier. Not over powering, but more heat. I liked it and will buy again to mix up the two Campbell's types.
I was surprised how tasty and filling this is. I will say it is was very spicy. I this adding shredded cheese and a little sour cream would top it off nicely and help cut the spice. I will be purchasing this again.
Excellent taste. Authentic Mexican spiced, with a bite that is a little on the hot side. Heat with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and top with diced white onion. mmm
oh boy! if you love chili and you love hit and spicy THIS is for you! its amazing ..it delivered my mouth was on fire its super good with cheddar cheese and some chips excellent!!
I don't want to be negative here, but HOLY MOLY this lives up to the "SPICY" on the label. I couldn't handle the heat, even though I generally love the spicy/hot chunky soups and chili. I might try it again with a whole lot of cheese and sour cream to tone it down.
Mix in cooked rice, cheese, and heat. Then add cilantro, tomato, lettuce, whatever you have and wrap in flour tortillas for a quick 4-6 burritos. Great way to use up that leftover white rice. There's a recipe on the Campbell's website, but it's Mexican, so just make it up. Can't really go wrong and the spicy is perfect.
The chili itself is fine, especially for a canned product. However, to me, the corn didn't add anything. I really didn't notice any difference in flavor or texture compared to the regular Chunky Spicy Chili. I would suggest just buying the regular spicy version. If you want to make it Mexican style, I think you're better off just getting a can of corn %26 adding it %26 your own spices. In general I would give this 4 stars but, I think most will be disappointed if they're looking for the taste %26 texture of added corn.
Look.. I'm from Louisana and we eat spicy food here all year round. Been eating spicy food since I was born aNd prefer my food spicy. Soni know the difference between when food is spicy Nd when food is inedible. This my friend is inedible because it is so hot
Ok we can handle spicy especially my son. But when you make spicy food you want it to taste good too. This is just HOT. No flavor just HOT. I had high hopes for this. I was making a chili dip. A block of cream cheese one can of chili and shredded cheese. I'm so glad we tried the chili before wasting other ingredients and time. It's new so please listen and add flavor. Ty
