One of the best tasting canned soups I've ever had. I like a light chicken broth and this is it.
I LOVE this soup! It's Delicious. But it is twice the price compared the other soups Campbells make in this size. geez!!! I thin I'll be looking for a recipe to make my own.... For what I pay for this soup I could make a BIG pot of it. Because I usually get 6 to 8 cans when I buy. and that's $7. AND it's hard to find. Not all stores carry it. So why not make my own??
tastes good. it's kind of a mix between their chicken soup and wonton soup. i think it's tasty. it's not actual wontons though, it's like 4-5 pieces of dumplings plus little cubes of chicken. sadly, kinda expensive for mostly just liquid. i eat it when im sick. add some crispy wonton strips. if you're looking for something really authentic, i would skip this.
So, I got this with extremely low expectations, but had to try out of curiosity. So, in reality what this is, is Campbell's classic chicken noodle soup with some sort of triangular large noodle around the size of a quarter. There are no stuffed wonton here. It's just broth, sodium, noodle things, sodium, and some small pieces of dry chicken as well as some green things that used to be leaves. There is nothing Asian about this. But, it's fixable if you have a few ingredients on hand. First off, it's already salty with the 1 can of soup and 1 can of water. If you are going to add soy sauce, I recommend low sodium and recommend adding more water. The broth is strong enough to take it. What I added was about 1t soy, 2t sesame oil, 2 scallions, 1t Sriracha. At this point, the broth tasted Asian. I'd go a step further and add fresh cilantro for fun next time. But you shouldn't have to do this. I got a 4 pack, so if I'm able to revise this review in the future, I may if I can improve on it.
I was disappointed in this item. There were 6 very small odd shaped thick noodles with the tiniest bit of chicken paste in them. There were also 10 tiny cubes of chicken. Soup was odd tasting and noodles were complete mush with no flavor. I know this is because it is canned but It could be much better. Sodium is extremely high too, 8 ounces of mostly liquid is 36% of daily recommendation. Do not recommend.
ITEM ARRIVED DENTED
Why can't someone make a soup that tastes good. This was just the usual chicken noodle soup but they made the noodles bigger.
3 of 4 cans dented. My last order of the same item was received. 1 can was dented. I'm not a junk can collector of cans. Get your act together and quit passing dented cans to online buyers.
There were exactly 3 tiny "wontons" in the entire can! The broth is spot on, but... seriously?! Broth is $1 per quart. This is just straight up theft. Clearly, Someone is trying to take down Campbell's from the inside, because this reflects really poorly on that American Institution. And I bought it as a "treat".
Never received item. Wal-Mart cust. service refused to do anything b/c the res of my order was delivered and they "have a picture of the box on my porch. I also ordered 2 blankets that were delivered in said box but no soup and no customer service support!
