Canon PIXMA MG2522 Wired All-in-One Color Inkjet Printer

I didn't have high hopes for this product but it exceeded my expectations. My HP printer broke so this came just in time. I'm not a computer person but after a few minor issues setting it up (read the letter that comes with it for the model number) it was good to go. The Canon print quality was as good as the HP. The only draw back with the Canon is that it's not wireless. It has to be connected to your computer so you'll need space for both items on a desk/table because the cable isn't that long.

Even though I wrote lots of negative points I don't like, they are just little details. Overall this printer is easy to use and has all you need from a printer for beginners. Pros: - I like very much that it's very simple to use, the printer is recognized right away(you don't need the CD or the need to install any driver but the printer must be connected and turned on though), - ink installation is a breeze, nothing complex and very basic - Perfect for anyone who don't know much and don't want any hassle. Cons: - I wish there's a display instead of just 4 lights: Power, Warning, Black and Color Ink lights. If printing from the computer, a message will show the reason (just for very short few seconds so you better read fast) but if you make a regular photocopy, the warning light can be any kind of problems like paper jam, sensor, electronic, mechanic... - Paper tray inscriptions are all white, thus barely noticeable(Unfortunately, I think it's the same for lots of printers). It would be nice if another color was used to catch the eye(See Picture, I used red color), but it's just little details and easy to fix as you can see but doesn't look good though. - Top paper loading isn't very convenient because you need to be sure it doesn't flip over for any kind of reason making the paper not straight if left for too long and nobody like curled papers, especially for presentation - The sign showing how the paper must be put on the tray is misleading, I rectified it in red(See picture) - Online Installation doesn't work, Registration neither, Web Picture model doesn't match making it wonder if it's the right driver for the printer - The provided power cable and USB cable are very short, you might need to make space or buy longer cables

This is a nice little printer/scanner. Good quality text and photos. On the downside - the printer cable is included but, it is way too short - I would say almost unusable - you will probably have to purchase another one if your printer is not literally right next to your computer. The other con would be the access to the ink cartridges and where you have to install them. It is awkward - it is at the bottom portion of the front of the machine and the door doesn't really open very much. you can't really see where you are putting the cartridges completely and your hands don't fit inside. You just have to guess and hope you have the right angle. Pros: Instructions are great, clear and easy to understand, plenty of diagrams. You will need about 30 to 45 mins to completely set-up including printer alignment. Ink cartridges and printer cable are included. You will need a computer with a DVD to install printer. Machine is light enough that if you need to move it from one location to another you can. The text is nice and crisp and clear. Scanner is easy to use, Just press one button. The photo quality is very good for an inkjet I was pleasantly surprised. Comes with a nice little photo gallery/editing program as well. really a good little machine I would recommend it.

Canon PIXMA works great for simple printing needs. It's lightweight and easy to move around. It's small that it doesn't take up a lot of space. My daughter is using it in her room this year to print papers for school and it will work perfect for this purpose. The print quality of the pictures are really nice. I'm really impressed of how nicely everything that we have printed so far has looked. I also like that it has a scanner. There is not as many features as previous printers that I have owned and it is a wired printer so it can only print from a computer or a laptop but for someone that needs something simple for their printing needs this is perfect. So far we have no negative issues and my daughter is happy with it.

This is a simple, all-in-one printer/scanner/copier that seems like a really good deal. It is very easy to set up, the install was very easy and very quick. I have it up and printing in less than 30 minutes. I have used it to print simple things. Mostly things I type up, and to-do lists, etc. Everything has always comes out great so far.. I have tried to print a few pictures with it they come out ok, but not perfect. You can see thin lines across each pic I have printed, and I have tried several different ways to print pictures but they all come out with thin light lines in them. So pirinting pictures its best to try a different printer. I’m sure a printer specializing in printing pictures would print much better looking photos, but I really cannot complain. Not bad at all. Really nice printer if you’re printing out simple stuff! You really can’t beat it for the price. I also like how the ink for this printer is really really cheap. So when I do need to get more I’m not spending an arm and a leg. For just a simple at home printer for basic printing needs this printer is great. This printer is NOT wireless. It is still an all around average, decent printer.

All I can tell you thus far is the copier works great. Nice vibrant color. But I've been unable to try it as a printer because it will not work with mobile devices. I purchased a usb to mobile adapter but no luck. I called Cannon and was informed that this particular printer can only be used with a laptop or desktop computer. So that's that. I'm unable to use it unless I buy a computer. Completely disappointing. I still gave it a 3 star rating because what I was able to use was great and I'm sure it would perform fantastically with a laptop.

I would have to give this printer 3 stars.  I previously had an HP Deskjet 1050 j410 attached for my printing needs to my HP desktop. My HP printer was about 10 years old and thought that this would be a great improvement.  I initially thought the printer was great. It is a little loud when the printer starts to print and the mechanism "grabs" the paper, but once it starts the printing process it is pretty quiet. I think that the print quality is great. It can scan documents and photos, which I think that is a great and important feature to have on all printers.  I have had the printer for about three weeks now and use it occasionally. My current issue is that now whenever I go to print, it is causing a pop-up that states that the printer has disconnected and I need to run diagnostics to get my printer working. I haven't been able to "fix" this issue to where the pop-up doesn't happen.  So that is why I have given the rating that I have. My printer came with the USB cord. It seems like they have fixed this issue that many have complained about.  The set up was pretty simple with the disc that was provided also.   Although my HP Deskjet is 10 years old I feel like it is superior to the Canon PIXMA MG2522. If you need a basic printer this could be the one, but it also could be a pain to use.

I needed a printer to print labels for my business and saw this printer was on sale so I decided to buy it. It worked ok for the first 4 months and then started making loud slamming noises every time i tried to print and always gave me an error message. Besides that, every time I refilled the ink, I'd still get an ink low message. Now I can't get anything to print! My production's on hold since I have no labels. I'm definitely not buying another Canon printer!

Received the printer yesterday (7/30/20) and from the very first step the printer was giving me a error message. Never could get rid of the error after 4 house of working with it, Finally called Canon Support. They tried the same things I had already done. Its a hardware problem in the printer its self. Not blaming Walmarts, but feel the company that it was sold through (Slick Deals) needs to be checked to see if other defective printers have came from there

I got this printer because the Windows 10 computer I have doesn't have a disc tray or wifi and I needed a printer with a wired connection within my budget. Canon advertises this all over as being compatible with Windows 10, but it's not. After 2 hours of trying to get it to install the drivers where it gets to the end and then magically can't detect the printer even though my computer can, many Google searches, and a lot of time on the Canon support site I give up. It wasn't until after going through all that that I found the (possibly intentionally) buried review from someone else having the exact same issue with their Windows 10 not being compatible with this printer. I'm going to have to return it because it's useless to me.
