Canon PIXMA TR160 Portable Wired/Wireless Inkjet Printer - Color

I needed a printer to use with some work I do at a local university. This printer has worked very well.

I just replaced a Canon PIXMA iP110 printer with this TR160. My iP110 served me well for ten years! It was tired and needed to be put out to pasture. The TR160 is virtually the same printer with some tech upgrades. It shares the same ink cartridges with the iP110. Canon makes great printers and you will find that you will save money on ink when compared to many competitors. The setup was quick and easy. I use it as a network printer (WiFi) so printing is easy from anywhere in the house from either laptop (mine and my wife's).

I'm very happy with this printer, it's perfect for my needs. Nice print quality and easy setup with app on phone. I chose this printer because it is small, doesn't use thermal printing and can be used with phone and tablet. I didn't want one that required pc connection and couldn't be stored away when not in use. I like that there isn't a built in battery and you can use it without one. There are cases specifically made for the printer for travel and or storage. This printer is also known for high quality photo printing. There are cheaper printers but require a more permanent set up such as home office. This doesn't scan so if that is a requirement for you then this printer isn't for you. I plan to go to my library if I need to scan or copy something. I am amazed at how compact this printer is and so easy to store when not in use. All you need is WiFi.

This is a great portable printer. I use it at home and when I travel. I would recommend a case when traveling though. Super easy to set up and use. Buy extra ink so you never run out. It is not a copier just a printer.

It's awesome. Very convenient. I live in an RV so obviously I don't have a lot of space but I needed a printer for school. This printer is very compact and simple.

I bought this Canon TR160 for everyday home use and occasional travel. The setup was quick, and the wireless connection works smoothly. The print quality is clear for documents and decent for color prints. The size is very convenient lightweight and easy to carry around. It's not the fastest printer but for a portable model it does the job well. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and it fits my needs.

Printer works great! I wish it came with a carrying case. It does the job for what I needed it for. In my opinion it was a little too pricey. Although I won't complain!

Please, avoid my mistake. I am losing my mind. It is supposed to be the best printer for someone who is travelling but it is impossible to connect it to MacBook or iPhone. It worked for 3 weeks, then it was gone. 4 hours of trying, iPhone after 4th attempt, MacBook not at all. There is no help from Canon during weekends etc. So no more Canon.

This is a worthless printer. Spent hours trying to get set up, you have to install print head, with the most minimum instructions ever. Called Canon support, nice lady, but given wrong information, initially finally got it figured out, connected to Wi-Fi, but when it prints just a splotches of black ink. A total worthless piece of junk!
