Cantu Avocado Hydrating Curl Activator Cream with Avocado Oil and Shea Butter, 12 oz

To start with, the smell is amazing! I love getting little whiffs of my hair as I move my head or the wind blows. I want to order other Cantu Avocado products from this smell alone! Equally important is how it moistens and defines my curly hair. I put it on soaking wet hair and let it do its magic! It takes unruly curly hair and controls it without it feeling dried or stiff.

I have curly hair, but it is often very hard to manage and becomes frizzy the second I step outside. This product really helped calm my curls down in a good way. I applied the cream, which had a bit of a sticky feel while applying, but dried very soft and smooth. My curls are actually curly and soft! They also held up when I went outside. I highly recommend this product. It doesn't have a strong scent to it, so you can still use your favorite shampoo and not overwhelm yourself with too many scents. I love it!

I have really enjoyed this curl cream. It works really well in combating frizz due to humidity. I also like that it's safe to use on myself as well as my daughter. It is not heavy and does not weigh down your curls and gives you a style that actually lasts all day. I really like how soft and it makes your curls and that your hair is not crunchy at all.

I am loving this product. Me my sister and daughter all have varying degrees of curly hair from wavy to super curly so we all tried this and it worked on all our hair. My daughter has wavy hair a bit frizzy and it made her hair a bit more bouncy and more beach wavy look. And like no more frizz. I was really jealous. My hair is curly. Frizzy curly but not tight curls and it helped tame the frizz alot and made my curls look shinier and bouncy not heavy or greasy. My sister has super tight frizzy curls like really frizzy. It helped her hair so much. Her curls were smoother and still tight but not as frizzy and helped hold the curls in all our hair longer. This was definitely a great experience. I'm buying this from now on!

I was so excited to try this! I typically use the original formula, which I find works really well, but I'm always up to try something new. My first impression of the hydrating version is that the cream is thicker and much less sticky than the original. The curl level is about the same, but the hydrating version has so much moisture that I recommend using about 1/3 less of what you'd use of the original version. Since it's less sticky, using it for a touch up is much easier than the original version. It definitely reduces frizz! A solid product for this price point. This pic was taken at the end of wash day, after a few hours outside in mild winds. The only other product used was a small amount of mousse.

Cantu Avocado Curl Activator Cream worked pretty well on my curls. Medium hold and held back the frizz. After showering when my hair is still wet I applied almost a handful, It is thick so take your time applying it! I love the way curls felt and looked, not crunchy but not too soft either, and very moisturized! The only down fall I would say is it doesn't last longer than a work day.

This cream was thicker than I usually use, so I wasn't sure if I would like it. I applied the cream and then applied a custard and diffused. Loved the results, and I was able to refresh for days 2 and 3 with good results. I will continue using this cream and would recommend it to others.

We received this for free from BzzAgent. My daughter has thick curly hair which is quite coarse and prone to frizziness. The Cantu avacado curl activating cream was used on clean damp hair and made a nice cast on the curls. When it was scrunched out the resulting curls had nice shape and were very soft and shiny. She prefers products that don't make the cast, but I think her hair looked pretty fantastic using this product and would recommend to other curly haired folks.

I have used several Cantu products, and I have to say I prefer the Cantu Avocado line. I like that the curl cream is thick, but it is hard to blend into the hair. I use very little, but it doesn't mix into the hair as well as I feel it should. I do not notice a huge difference in my curls as well. I think I will just stick with Cantu Avocado Leave-In Conditioner.

First off this product smells great but after my first use I realized you don't need a lot. It made my thick and wavy hair feel crunchy and just nasty. The second time I used this product I didn't use as much and that definitely helped with the crunchiness but the second day I had that nasty and sticky feel again. I really wanted this product to work for me but unfortunately I won't be buying this in the future.
