It seems well made and yet was inexpensive to buy .
Great! Sturdy and works great! 10/10 PURCHASE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BARBELL!!
Exactly what I was looking for
This is an excellent addition to one's home gym. A month ago, I purchased 2 CAP Barbell 40 lb. Adjustable Cast Iron Dumbbell Sets for hand weights. I bought 2 because I wanted an extra set of cast iron weights and they were a great value (with free shipping). So.. now, with this weight pole, those extra weights I bought earlier, fit perfectly on this. I made sure both products were made by the same company. I now have a 60 lb of weight to do bench presses!! I use kitchen chairs to keep the weights up (too cheap to buy proper stands). As for comments about putting the bar together.. yes I agree. It's a pain in the butt. You do need a hammer and you do need a vise grip and/or pliers to squeeze the "smaller" end of the two pins provided. Once you do that, you DO NEED to pound them with a hammer pretty hard to get them flush with the bar. It's a pain to do this HOWEVER, I think it adds to it's stability and durability. Once you put this thing together, it ain't gonna fall apart on its own.
When visiting the store the item was out of stock for the in-store price and discontinued so the only way to get the item was online. I ordered the item which was super easy and it arrived within the specified time. I was able to return the item and repurchase it for the in-store price. The itself seems to be just what I needed in building my workout regimen.
Not really sure why everyone gave this such a poor rating. Maybe they don't know how to use a hammer? Anyhow, I'm glad the reviews didn't disuade me from purchasing this. It is great, sturdy enough from what I have used it for, and is long enough on the ends for plenty of plates. I've had no issues so far. Not bad at all, especially when you're living in the age of covid and you can't find any weight lifting equipment anywhere. But with all this said, I'm not a novice weight lifter... so perhaps that's where I differ. If you're on the fence about this, you won't go wrong. But make sure you know this is a standard bar, so your weight plates will need to be standard sizes as well (1" diameter holes).
Works great! It's a very sturdy bar, however, it is VERY hard to pound in the C pins that secure bars. You do need a HAMMER not a mallet like the directions suggest. You also need vice grips to pinch the one end of the pin more to insert into the bar and secure the pin with the grips while hammering or else you'll pound your finger. Once those were in, it works great.
I thought it was one piece. It will work for 200lbs. benchpress. The three pieces assembled by hammer the pins to lock in place.
Very loose at the threads if you have any real weight on it it bends. Might have to look into welding it but probably will just return it and get a more solid bar
The product would not fit together. The pegs they gave us were too big for the slots they were to fit into. I returned the bar.
