I used these as a floor in a playhouse that I set up for feral cats. I laid them upside down so it would be soft for the cats to walk on. It worked perfectly, easy to cut and stays put. I also put them in the cat hours to give them more warmth and cushion.
These mats are great for my grandson so he's not crawling on the hard floor!!!!! And these were the best price ones I found these are actually really expensive!!!!!
I was pleasantly surprised with these mats. They're a fairly sturdy foam and work great for our home gym. We have them placed beneath our heavy bag and frame, and no complaints about them coming up or tearing so far! Holds well and extremely easy to assemble.
Easy to connect, modular, a good level of thickness, and a nice look. Got these for a home gym. I have a different, similar foam tile mat and these were a bit smaller but still did what I needed. I use it for a lot of core and floor exercises, and it's definitely a great addition to at-home gyms.
They seem to be good quality. There does seem to be color variations between packages. I got 2 packages from the same store 1 day apart. 1 via curbside pickup, and the 2nd in store. So I may have grabbed from a different spot than the Walmart associate, but still. Not a big deal to me, but it might drive a perfectionist crazy. In my pictures you can see the back half is darker than the front half.
overall they work. most of them snap in tight. if you buy multiple packs like I did the color will be off a little bit. it's not a big deal but you will notice it. Do not put them into tight if you're covering the whole floor they do expanding and will lift up causing a tripping hazard. overall for the price you can't go wrong with them
It's probably better off using on regular floor. I put mine on topic carpet and I guess the flex caused by it. The tiles become undone. It is also too thin. It might be good for a yoga mat, but not the gym.
As far as appearance, unlike the pics, the seams are very obvious. Cheap looking. They look like what they are. Quality: They're 90% air… lighter than pipe wrap… and thinner. Price: Ridiculous. The packaging they come in would hold up better. Since we can't edit comments later, I say w certainty now, these won't last on Any floor. They're not even safe. Or for pets who might swallow or inhale pcs that will rip up just from normal use. fire hazard.
Arrived damaged, used with no packaging all taped together. The edge pieces are all missing and it's held together with clear packing tape, obviously a messy return.. I purchased the exact same ones the previous day and they came packaged in clear plastic with cardboard end caps- The first order was great, this set would be a joke even on the clearance aisle. I'm beyond mad, this is ridiculous and I want my $5 delivery tip back!
There's some kind of slippery substance all over these mats. My feet slipped on the diamond tread, and I nearly slipped and fell when walking off of them and onto the tile. My weight bench moved every time I planted my feet… I am going to try wiping them off with alcohol before I just throw all 4 sets into the trash.
