CAP Strength Heavy Duty Flat Bench, Gray Finish (600lb Weight Capacity)

So… here's the thing… I'm giving it five stars because it was cheap, and because the framing is thick. With that said: you can tell that the production is not exactly top-tier. Kind of like guys in medieval days making a bench. It's definitely not commercial. I've had six commercial gyms, and I can assure you of that. But, interestingly enough… the frame matches the commercial frame of the machine next to it. Looks the same on the outside, even though the gauge of the metal is far from the same. So… it looks like it belongs in the group…lol. So… it's a far cry from a $300 commercial bench. But, for 50 bucks, you can't beat it.

The price is good, but the quality was slightly lacking. Especially the rubber caps for the feet keep sliding out. The metal frame of the bench also had some discoloration, but this was hidden by the installation of the pad.

Good bench. Sturdy. Easy to assemble.

All in all this bench will function as you expected But I do have to say that CAP quality standards have dropped over the years. I've owned many of their benches, but I suppose this is because there is a lot more competition in this price range than they used to be what I mean by this is the bench has very minimal welds even the hardware is simply coated in a very thin film to get it to be black. Also, I should note that this bench is actually silver black and red, not gray. It also bears, noting that it comes very well packed and undamaged
