CAP Barbell - 100 lb Standard Vinyl Weight Set

THESE WEIGHTS ARE A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!!!! Like everyone else rushing to put together a basement gym, I was scrambling to buy barbells and dumbbells. The wait lists are long for powerbars. In the meantime,I purchased this set at a local store, and although the box was really beat up, the weights were in good shape. I haven't tested the bar beyond the 100 pound limit. (I have another CAP 1" barbell on order that has a limit of 250 pounds and fits these weights. ) In the future, this will be a very useful auxillary barbell for strength training. But at the moment, it's what I have for deadlifts, benches, and rows. It works!

I really like this set. Since it's so cheap and it meets all my expectations. I want an affordable barbell set to do body pump at home because I am still scared to go to the gym during covid. And this is the perfect set for it. It's cheap and can be easily put together. The bar is not the greatest, it took me three tries to put the two halves together. But what can I ask for more when it's only $40.

So for the price, this was a great purchase. Buying these weight plates separately would have cost me much more. HOWEVER… I don't trust this barbell. You are supposed to put the pins in and hammer them until they are flush against the barbell but mine don't fit on the other side. They go in one way and do not come out of the other no matter how much I adjust and hammer them. The barbell will still be good for deadlifts and hip thrusts but I don't trust them enough to do presses or curls with them. Since this was so cheap I am still giving it 4 stars and will just buy a solid barbell that I feel is more safe to use. Still a steal though.

I really like this set, no problems what so ever. My son lifts over 110lb...adds more weights and the bar is still in tact. No issues. BUT because my son began to use it often, now I need another for myself. The PROBLEM IS...I purchased the set last month for $42.00 and now its at $216!!!???

The bar sucks! It won’t stay in tact, the pegs keep falling out and it only weighs like less than 10lbs. thankfully I had a heavier bar that fits standard size plates. It’s a great price for the actual weights themselves. If you do purchase be sure to purchase a different bar. I bought it for my teenager who is learning to weight-lift and unfortunately the bar was a disappointment.

These pictures are from the immediate unboxing. I received my stuff unboxed and full of trash. Because what else can I do with the original box than put it directly in the garbage? Definitely not gift worthy. Very confused as to why you'd even send it with a box of you'd send it in that condition.

This is used and damaged! I feel like I missing a few pieces to securely hold these two bars together while it seems sturdy the entire package was re wrapped and packaged in tape. This is in acceptable and should be labeled as “returned” not “new” very poor practice. If the original packaging is damaged you should have the common sense to re package the items in a new and Undamaged box. The puma that came with the bar were just taped on. I believe it's missing pieces

We were unhappy about the product when we opened it. We recognized that the box was open when it was delivered. The weight plates were broken. Actually, we would like to buy the good things but not the damaged ones. Please be careful when you pack the products and consider the way you deliver. If you would keep the same way to the other shoppers, you could not sell your products. We write this message since we would like you can make changes to develop your business and you will have a lot of customers who like your company's products. This product was probably OK but the Packaging was so poor I couldn't get past that. I think this had been previously purchased and the box had been taped back together and didn't hold up. By time it arrived here, the tape was all crinkled up and was dried up and not holding it together. It also had large holes and the dumbbells were sticking out. A friend was helping me get it to the house from the rear of my vehicle where the delivery driver had put it and the product started to fall out of the box. Thank goodness it did not fall on my foot or it would have crushed it. I have attached photos that will show you what I'm talking about but don't really show the whole story. It was just a pitiful way to receive something and shoukd not have been delivered that way!!!

The bar is just junk. Don’t buy it. Comes I 2 pieces and you have to put a bar together that’s just dumb. And the pins don’t fit. The holes don’t match up. It just trash. And the box was trashed look at the pictures.
