I didn't expect too much in the way of simultaneous cold and compression therapy, and I don't think the system permits a lot of compression while effectively applying ice. What I really wanted was a quick and easy way to keep a good, cold, well loaded ice/water bag in close contact with various locations around my knee, as a part of physical therapy following surgery. This system is fast, simple, stays put through a reasonable amount of movement, and can be easily readjusted if it shifts or if you want to change the application point --- exactly what I was looking for. With the band keeping the loaded bag in good contact with the body, cooling is considerably more effective than with an ice bag alone. Five stars for a great idea at a reasonable price.
After searching stores and on line for a better ice pack, Walmart online is the only place I found this product. It arrived very quickly in time to take it on my trip. It is perfect for knee or ankle pain. Love the Velcro that keeps it from falling off so I can remain mobile.
It works great I use it a lot for my sprained ankle. I wish more stores carried them inside their local brick and mortar stores I guess time the way they are .
Got this just in time for a spider bite on my knee. It was nice to have along with a wrap to hold it in place. This will be great to have around for those unexpected little displeasures!
This is the best ice bag I've ever owned. I've had ice and water in it 24/7 for more than two weeks and no leaks. Easy to fill retro design I was looking for. I have not used the compression belt but I am sure it will come in handy to keep the ice bag in place on small areas of the body. I wish I would have purchased one of these years ago.
i bought two of these for knee tendinitis. if you search around, you'll find this application to be quite expensive ($30+). i thought $12 each was worth the risk. ultimately, this is a good product. if provides both compression and cold. my only reservation is durability. the neoprene is getting stretched out and the velcro catch is also putting wear on the neoprene with every tear away. if you need to ice every day, then you may want something higher end.
I really like the compression strap that holds the ice bag in place!
I thought this ice bag was water proof but no, the rubber is to a small degree but my blouse still got very wet. I checked the cap and it was fastened correctly.
I had a Cara ice bag from a few years ago and it held up and stayed dry on the outside all those years. Unfortunately something has changed in the materials or manufacturing of this product. There is a lot of moisture on the outside of the bag after a few minutes use and this was after I made sure that the top was closed tight.
leaks like a sieve, obiviously a manufacturers defect. nothing you can do to make the bag not leak . I wondered if this was returned before , because there was no packing slip in the box nothing. Shipping was fast but I was disappointed .
