easy to use
I bought 3 at the same time and this was by far the most comfortable to sit on.
This is a must-have for helping seniors stay independent. It's really easy and convenient, no buttons or electricity. However, it is challenging for an elderly person to set for weight, get someone to help. Also, and this is why only 4 stars, it's not at all ergonomic. Unless you line yourself up really well before sitting, you have a tendency to tip to one side. Recommend using on chair with sides.
the elderly person was 120 lb. she was to light. the cushion did not go down all the way, even though we fixed for the lowest weight available.
It's good reasonable price It's good reasonable price
Got this for my 91yr old mother to help her stand from seated position due to low back and nerve pain. To test it, I tried it first to see how strong it is. I'm a little guy at 6'2 and 300 pounds. The highest setting is 350, lowest 195. It lifts me with no problem at 350. For her she is 160-ish and has short legs, so has to scoot back on it to make it compress on some larger chairs like a recliner. Otherwise it helps her a lot. Added note I used 1in memory foam to add some more cushion to it fore comfort, just cut to fit and slipped under the cover. Also works very good in her wheelchair.
Works great for my dad - 200 lbs. Could be hard to set it if you were elderly. It takes a bit of my muscle and I'm a strong woman.
It is the temporary, inexpensive solution to being able to get up out of my recliner after knee surgery. I looked into purchasing an electronic lift chair but it was too great an expense. This Uplift Seat Assist does what it says and serves the purpose however, it is not very comfortable for long periods of sitting.
The picture showed it with a cord, so we thought it was electric...it wasn't. It was too stiff for my husband to use. He had just had back surgery, hence the need for a lift, but this was just too stiff. We sent it back.
my weight was in between so it wax difficult to use personally
