Carex Raised Toilet Seat Elevator with Easy Installation, Adds 3.5 in Height, White, 300 lb Limit

It was a good thing I have extra-long arms! The installation started out fairly easily. But then, in order to tighten it enough to the point where it was not going to wiggle, the front of the riser lifted off the bowl. The instructions knew this, and mentioned the need to loosen the nuts to bring the front back down; which of course causes it to be able to be moved side-to-side when it shouldn't wiggle. The advice in the instructions is to re-tighten the riser occasionally as needed. Also, I would have preferred an additional inch of height. Overall, I really think it is made well and easy to clean. I plan to buy another for my second bathroom.

I just had SI Joint Fusion surgery and sitting down and getting back up was absolutely excruciating for me especially on the toilet. It wasn't suggested to me by my Drs however a friend told me she got one with having a hip replacement and it really helped her. So I bought this for our master bathroom and it took my husband like 10 min to install. It's the perfect size. I bought an elongated seat which is what my toilet is, they also make round style. Just make sure you get the correct one for your toilet. I no longer have pain at all using it and my husband who had a knee replacement a couple years ago said it's very ease of use for him as well. So much nicer for us both and we are not elderly. This is such a very wonderful thing to have. And actually being the wife I have to be the one to clean it and it is very easy with cleaning. It doesn't cause a problem with that at all. I highly recommend this to anybody who may have had some kind of surgery, whether it be their hip, knee, back, whatever. If it's better for you to sit taller and not sit down farther than this is the product that you need. There's so many choices out there in the market. I thought it was overwhelming. I read all the reviews and tried to get one with the most stars. I get this five stars because it was so easy to install. So easy to use and so easy to clean. And it's very helpful and wonderful to have.

You will not believe the difference in the ease of using your bathroom after you uninstall this it's easy and unbelievably comfortable 200% improvement for not a lot of money if you're up there an age do yourself a favor

My husband has Parkinsons and needed assistance even with our handicap toilet. This really fit the bill. it raised the seat just enough. it was an easy install and is easy to keep clean.

This was very nice and easy to install. It even contained the longer screws to use with both this riser and the toilet seat that was purchased separately as well.

Had to replace my 91 year old mother's toilet recently. Somehow she had a toilet that was 18 inches tall (just the base not including the seat). Most ADA toilets now are 16.5 inches. She has bad knees and is tall and that 1.5 inches made a difference to her. I ordered the Carex Toilet Seat based on good reviews to raise the seat. What I didn't know is that many new toilets come with quick disconnect toilet seats (for ease of cleaning), they do not have bolts that run all the way through, they use a clamp on method to attach the seat to the toilet. This booster is designed for the old style toilet seats, it will not work with the quick disconnect seats. I had to buy a new (old style) toilet seat to use with this booster. It works fine now but be aware of the new type toilet seats, I had never seen one before. The new style must be common, most of the ones at the hardware store were the new style and I had to search for a plain old toilet seat.

We purchased this to use after hip replacement surgery. Our toilet seat height was not quite 16". This was easy to install. We are happy with our purchase and would recommend it. It fit tightly. My husband is 250 lbs. We chose the one without sides as we read reviews that the sides get in the way. We are glad we bought this one.

There are two important descriptions of the item in the website: The word elongated is missing. The policy about the returns of that item. Now the only thing left for me is to put it in the trash and lose $38. I have to buy another seat, but in a place where I can see what I buying.

I ordered this item after reviewing others. I need the round, not the other. Now I find I can't return it due to Walmart policies. I don't buy things to just throw away $35 to find out what an item is. I want a exchange and will contact both credit card and the seller. Beware....I will never order anything that is not Walmart. Can't review the item, I could not use. I will NEVER I need the round, got the other. Now I'm finding my almost $35 item is non after reviewing

Although the measurements I took were accurate and it fit the toilet when laid on top before installation, once it was installed the front popped up and would not stay flush with the toilet. This is due to a slope in the seat. Going from the back to almost midway. It is only visible once the hardware has been installed. I am unhappy that I cannot return this item for my money back, I feel like I was misled because this sloping is not mentioned anywhere in description. If I had ordered incorrectly I absolutely would understand not getting my money back, but I ordered correctly. information was not provided to ensure a secure fit. Susan Crosby
