Having been using this product for many years from iHerb. Could not find this product in the dosage, quantity, quality and price anywhere in Canada. This supplement has been very helpful for my eye condition. They are non GMO and Gluten free which is a plus for me. It was recommended by my optometrist.
I tested my vit D levels years ago and found that I was severly deficient. I started taking this brand, Carlons Labs, of vit D and quickly raised my levels within a few months. Lab tests confirmed it.. however, within 24 hours of starting this Vit D, my symptoms were greatly reduced. I will never be without this brand of Vit D3. Excellent stuff!

Our body produces vitamin D naturally when it's directly exposed to sunlight. In strong sun, exposing arms and legs for 5–30 minutes between 10 AM and 3 PM is usually enough to meet the daily requirements of most light-skinned people. People with darker skin may need a little more time. You can also get it through certain foods like fish, egg yolk, shrimp. Vitamin D has several important functions. Perhaps the most vital are regulating the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, and facilitating normal immune system function. Getting a sufficient amount of vitamin D is important for normal growth and development of bones and teeth, as well as improved resistance against certain diseases. If you do not have access to the sun, then vitamin D3 supplements of 1000–4000 IU (25–100 micrograms) should be enough for most people. Here 1 gel contains 2000 IU you may take it 1 or 2 gels per day depending on the results of a blood test, which should be done at least once a year. I started taking Carlson Liquid Gel Capsules D3 in 200IUs and feel that Carlson is an excellent company. I have purchased from them before as I am soy- and dairy-free and Carlson has always delivered well. I'm putting 3 stars on the review so that it might get attention and help someone else. For Carlson, it would be 5.
Trust Carlson products as being superior in purity - this is important to me. Take along side VitK2 to make sure Vit D goes to bones and not blood vessels where they can create issues with clogging. At the right price and I am a repeat buyer of most Carlson products so can highly recommend~
Taking it because I live near the Canadian border and the ability for my body to make Vitamin D is hamstrung by my far proximity to the equator. This must be working because my levels are good. I've experienced no bad flavors or aftertaste. Take it with a meal with fat for best absorption. I have no complaints, and Carlson is a good brand.
