Great transmission fluid for Euro cars

Jay February 12, 2026

I've always put this in my 2008 Mini Cooper S automatic and its one of the best transmission fluid out there. I bought a used transmission and filled it with 7 quarts of this Castrol 4th gear was slipping a little but after 600 plus miles of driving slipping is now gone.! I will still drain and fill after 1k miles since I put in a used transmission . I TRUST CASTROL transmission fluid and Full Synthetic oil for my cars!

I was driving down the highway, come around a turn, bam a fairly large boulder. Of course I can't swerve or I'll go in the river. So my transmission oil pan takes the brunt of my unfortunate luck. Leaks out all of that Honda goodness along the highway. Needless to say I needed to fix that and get it filled back up asap. Look online. Sweet baby Jesus. Even the company that makes the oil for Honda is still almost triple what this was. So I took a chance. Mainly because I'm not going to act like I know the intricacies of the differences between each proprietary oil. However. I know in order to meet certain standards they have to at the very least get to a minimum point to list themselves at what they are saying. So far it's worked out just fine. Will I know if there was a difference? Nope. Will others say you should have gone with the name stuff. Probably. But I do know neither of us really know whether or not it would have made any difference at all. And at the end of the day I got what I needed at a fraction for all 5 I would have of just one of the name brand. So that's ok with me.

Works great in 2017 pathfinder

Sonia May 14, 2026

At first I was a bit reticent to use a universal fluid in my 2017 pathfinder cvt, but after some research I decided to give transmax a shot and I am really glad I did. When I changed the fluid, my pathfinder cvt only had 60k and was performing great- no whirring, whining, odd vibrations, or judder so I did not expect much of a difference from the new fluid. However I was amazed after the change. The transmission was always smooth, but now it is even smoother- like buttery smooth. The simulated shifts in the cvt are also improved- they are faster and firmer which leads me to believe the chain is engaging the pulleys much better. Overall, In every aspect, my transmission performs better than it did when it was brand new. I am thoroughly impressed with this product.

The best bang for your buck

Danny March 24, 2026

This Bissell is very dependable, very easy to use and for the quality of the price that we paid for it we would highly recommend it for anyone else that is on a budget, plus it maneuvers really good. It has a long cord. The hose is easy to remove. It picks up debris with ease and did I mention their maneuverability of this thing again highly recommended.

Meets Nissan CVT fluid specs.

John March 30, 2026

This fluid is worth the price and half the price of oem cvt fluid. My 2009 Nissan Sentra has 280k miles on the original cvt transmission . It was only supposed to last 100k. If you keep the fluid changed every 30k they will last.

A Reliable CVT fluid for NS-2 applications.

Daniel May 27, 2026

I've used this fluid the do CVT fluid changes on a 2010 Nissan Altima SR, on three occasions in the last 4 years. I have to say it works well. It provides a long service life and excellent value because of the Castrol brand and exceptional price.

Aside from Valvoline automatic transmission fluid being an alternative option, the Castrol Transmax was also recommended by a mechanic. I found that this works exceptionally well in cold weather conditions and since I was seeing 20 degree temperatures in the day's average I chose it for my Honda Ridgeline Sport. After driving my Honda 3 days in frigid temps and winter mix conditions, I found the shifting during acceleration was smoother and fuel efficiency improved. The Protection from wear and Castrol's known reliability were known advantages and I couldn't be happier with the sale price for the gallon.

Works perfectly to change out your original factory transmission fluid Was able to use it on a 2014 mazda 5 And also purchased a second one for a 2024 Nissan Sentra Remember Everyone Out There Don't Believe Your Dealer Transmissions Will Not Last A Lifetime With Out YOU! Changing Your Transmission Fluid Every 30,000 Miles or Once Year Give Or Take Avoid Costly Transmission Replacement Cost By Just Servicing Your Transmission On Time Every Time!

The price is outrageous but it's the only thing I can use for my particular transmission. When it's a must have, I guess I have to pay whatever they decide to charge for it. They didn't have any quart size containers which would have saved me a little much needed money.

In this review i just wanted to point out that it's not against Walmart but the person who delivered my order,. They knew it was damaged and did not even ring the bell to notify me,. Things happen but one must take responsibility for their actions,..
