I absolutely love these chips for their texture and flavor. They hold onto salsa and guacamole like a champ and pack the perfect crunch. They also bring a hint of spice which makes them taste a bit more salty, yet they have less sodium than the average tortilla chips. Great price! Please keep selling these Walmart!!
These are the best tortilla chips. They are thicker than normal, giving them a bigger crunch and more corn flavor. Seasoned or plain they really satisfy your CRUNCH cravings.
These are the best store bought nacho chips I have ever had. I love Mexican food and routinely went to my favorite Mexican spot pre-pandemic. Now, nothing seems the same so I have been make my favorite meals at home. I made nachos in the air fryer with these chips and they were superb! I have 1/4 of the bag left but have another bag in my cart right now!
Amazing chips, by far my favorite. I haven't seen them online or in store for months though thought!! Please re-stock these chips!
I have found the best tortilla chips ever!!
I am of two minds about these tortilla chips since there are both pros and cons. I'll try to explain both below. Pros: 1) Although they don't mention it in the product title (which they should) these are kettle cooked. Just like with potato chips, the kettle cooking method makes them harder and firmer. Which is actually a good thing if you plan to use these for making things like nachos. They hold up much better than lighter/thinner tortilla chips and don't break like those tend too when trying to extract each one from a big layer of them covered in hot dog chili, fiesta cheese, jalapenos, guacamole, etc. 2) They already have hatch chile seasoning. For someone who likes a little bit of heat with their tortilla chips, but not as hot as jalapeno, this should be perfect. Cons: 1) Apparently Walmart is buying and storing way too many of these at a time. Therefore, like MANY other reviews on here, I also received a bag that was already expired over a month ago. And I've seen other reviews from customers who got ones already several months out of date. That is just unacceptable. 2) Like so many tortilla chips (and potato chips, other snacks, etc) they put way too much salt (aka sodium) in them. Which is really baffling since these don't even need much salt due to them already getting flavor from the hatch chile seasoning. The regular Cazo de Oro tortilla chips (in the red bag) thankfully have less salt but, for some reason, they are almost always out of stock. In other words, Walmart is buying too many of the Hatch Chile version at a time but not enough of the regular version.
I like the thickness of the chip, but they were way too salty and had so much loose powder seasonings that it went every where each time you bit into a chip. Sad to say there was no hatch chili flavor, lots of everything else. Made in California…I gave it the benefit of the doubt:(
I was so excited to try this item! It arrived from Walmart stuffed into a box half its size. More than half the bag had been reduced to crumbs by the time it reached my home. The only way to get a refund was to agree to re-package it and ship it or go to a Walmart store. Not worth the effort…
Over a year expiration date.
These came on sept 15 and they all had an expiration date of September 4 and were all stale. Very disappointing.
