I'm giving it five stars throughout because it is a good buy and a good little induction cooktop. My only issue with it is the lack of clear instructions on the tricks of how to use it. Temperature and Wattage are both adjustable which is well explained, but frankly it's a crap-shoot to figure out the perfect combinations to get a nice simmer, for example. I've heard this is true of any induction cooktop and I bought this to see if I liked induction before spending the $$$ to replace my electric cooktop. FYI it works really well with grandma's old cast iron skillets and Dutch oven!

I originally bought my first ChangBERT induction cooktop on another platform, when I saw this model on sale at Walmart, it felt like the perfect excuse to grab a second one. After using the brand for over 3 year, it's something I'm very comfortable trusting. At first, I didn't realize how important cookware choice was. I reached out to customer service, and they responded quickly and explained which types of pots work best with induction. Once I switched to the right cookware, the difference was immediate. This cooktop kicked on instantly and heated up fast once you use the right cookware, reaches high power and how well it holds it. When making a large pot of kimchi soup, it brought everything to a boil in seconds in HEAT mode. The bubbling came up evenly across the whole surface. After boilling, I really like how precise the temperature control too, never overboilling when I preset a temperature level. I also appreciate that it's NSF certified. Knowing it meets commercial safety and sanitation standards gives me extra confidence, especially when cooking things like soups and broths for longer periods. Another thing is how compact it is. When I'm done cooking, it cools down quickly and slides right into a cabinet without taking up much space, which is perfect for a smaller kitchen. Very glad I got it and good value of money!

My first ChangBERT cooktop has been great from day one. Solid build, fast heating, and really precise temperature control. I've used it for long cooking sessions without any issues, and it just feels reliable every time. Even the packaging and instructions stood out. Everything was well organized and felt more premium than most kitchen appliances I've bought. So I ended up buying another one and giving it to a friend as a housewarming gift. It just feels like the kind of product people would actually use every day. One small tip: always place the pan on the cooktop before turning it on.

I have been very happy with this cooktop,but one thing I learned quickly is that cookware matters. At first, I tried using an older aluminum pan with a magnetic plate on the bottom. It worked ,but the heating wasn't nearly as impressive as I expected. Once I switched to fully magnetic stainless steel and cast iron cookware, everything changed .Water boiled faster, heat felt more even, and temperature control became much more predictable ,especially much quieter. My ALL-CLAD stainless pans and cast iron skillet have both worked great. For anyone new to induction ,don't judge the cooktop until you've tried the right cookware. With quality stainledd steel or cast iron, this thing really shines.

As an older guy and on my own now, I rarely need a full stovetop to cook. This induction cookplate has been quite handy. It heats fast (with induction capable cookware) and simple buttons in the front make it easy. I can see someone cooking for more people than themselves using it as an auxillary appliance in conjunction with a regular stovetop or microwave (on a suggested different electrical circuit.). It uses standard household current and saves energy over the 220v stove top.

This induction countertop model is amazing! It's clean, fast, and you can quickly reduce the heat to a simmer and bring to a boil very quickly! So much better than gas! So much better than a regular electric cooktop. I have been investigating induction for several years and it is the new way to go! For the price, this is absolutely amazing. I put it on top of my ranges d use it daily.

This unit is heavy duty and very well built. Heats up very quickly and does a great job. My wife uses it primarily to cook steaks in a very hot, cast iron pan. She was cooking them outside on a propane burner due to smoke filling the house. The propane burners are hard to use because of wind interference. This burners solves that problem and reduced cooking time significantly. Keep in mind, you can only use metal pans, no aluminum or coated pans. Will come in handy for other large gatherings when an extra burner is needed.

The driver dropped the package on the ground My husband saw her drop it . She had called us 2 times to come out to get the package I assumed . And my order states to leave on the back porch . She dropped it on the ground as my husband looked out the window to see who it was . I will check to see if any damage was done

first entry to cooking with induction. burned avocado oil in a copper core pan, at a lower temp than smoke point. When moving frying pan off coil to flip egg caused breaker to flip. When heating soup the bottom of pot is significantly hotter and smaller in size, so the heat doesn't have an even heat radiation like cast iron. It does heat faster than a traditional electric coil. pretty easy to wipe down, a little loud with the fan in back.
