Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum | Silver/Nickel | New

I bought this Dyson a couple of weeks ago to mainly use upstairs . Because it's so light to carry around and as got such great suction I use it all over the house now , my other plug in hoover stays in the cupboard, the battery lasts very well especially when kept on the lower power and it picks everything up perfectly well on the lower power. It's very easy to manoeuvre being so lightweight but still powerful. The small head is great to use for the stairs . I have long hair so having the hair de-tangling head is a bonus.I am very pleased with my purchase.

I've had my Dyson Absolute for almost a month. So far I'm very pleased with its suction power, maneuverability, its lightweight design, ease in emptying its canister after use, and the cordless portability. It holds its charge well and recharges rather quickly.

Love it! Finally a stick that ACTUALLY works and removes that dirt. Worth every penny! AND got it on sale and saved about $250.00! I have spent so much money buying Stick Vacuums from all different manufacturers, even believed HSN and QVC and all of the sticks I have ever owned did not perform as promised. I finally gave in and paid for a Dyson and GLAD I did! I didn't want to spend $500 for a vacuum. But that old adage “ you pay for what you get “ is so true ! I have a rod in my spine and cannot bend and I get tired easy. So I could not use a regular vacuum as they are heavy. That is why I wanted a stick so badly. I needless to say am so happy with my Dyson! Thanks Walmart for selling such a great product! Happy !

Dyson V8 offers good suction, smooth maneuverability, and comfortable ergonomics. Its main drawback is the relatively short battery life. The wall‑mount bracket works, but routing the charging cable through the narrow slits feels awkward. It’s functional, yet the overall design comes across as a bit flimsy and somewhat cheap.

Glad that Dyson doesn't seem to have down graded their product much. I recently bought a newer version of another brand of vacuum cleaner. It looked the same as the older model, but when it got delivered, all the metal had been replaced by cheap plastic.

We bought the Dyson V8 Absolute and have found it very difficult to open the container when it needs to be emptied. Very fiddly to open and seems to be very delicate as we do not want to force it to come apart as it may break. We have had Dyson's in the past and they have been very sturdy and felt strong and smooth to handle. I thought Dyson's were the best vacuum cleaners but Overall very disappointed with this model.

I've had the Dyson V8 for 2 weeks and I am disappointed in the battery life. I am also disappointed that the dirt bin only fills on one side above the max line, and the other side is completely empty. Because of this, I have to empty several time in a single cleaning. Also the dust bin is very difficult to open to empty and even harder to return back into place. I have another Dyson model that works great and does not have any of these issues.

Disappointed. I had a v7 for several years—great stickvac!A v8 was supposed to be an upgrade—it wasn't. The v8 is *very* flimsily made and has less suction power than my old v7 had, even though the stats implied the v8 would be better. I used the v8 3 or 4 times and in addition to the disappointing suction power, the release mechanism on the dirt canister was already not opening and then the “pull” was on the verge of completely breaking. On my old v7, I can't say how many hundreds %26 hundreds of times I pulled that mechanism with no problems, but it was very sturdily made which is not the case any longer. What a shame! I really wanted another Dyson because the v7 was such a great vacuum, plus I got the v8 at a decent sale price. But the v8 was a complete disappointment. Too bad because Dyson was once a really great quality product.

Charge it overnight. Use it for five minutes and the power goes out. One second back on the charger and it's running again for a couple of minutes. Wish it worked as advertised...

I have been using my new Dyson vacuum for 2 weeks. I am not pleased with the battery power. The battery will not stay charged for even 20 minutes of use. I am very disappointed and expected a better product especially with the cost.
