Keurig K-Duo Essentials Hot & Iced Single Serve K-Cup Pod & Carafe Coffee Maker, Gen 2

Love the grey color - looks perfect in kitchen. The ice coffee selection is a real plus for me. It makes excellent coffee and iced coffee using Keurig pods. The water reservoir is good sized, but a little difficult to get to because it is in the back of the machine rather than on the side like my previous machine. I set the coffee machine on a kitchen appliance caddy to easily slide the machine to the front of the counter so it is easy to get to water reservoir in the back.

A good machine that offers both carafe and pod brewing. Only thing I don’t particularly like (and it’s my fault for not checking) is no ability to set a timer for future brewing. I like to be able to set my machine to have my coffee made in the morning.

The only thing I would like to see different on this machine is an off switch on the full pot option. Once you turn it on it doesn’t shut off for a couple hours. We like to brew a pot and then pour into my husband’s thermos, but the machine keeps the burner on so we have to fill the pot with water to keep it from damaging the pot.

The coffee brews tepid, not hot enough to stay or remain pleasantly hot (I think my threshold is maybe around 150 ) but its brewing at about 107 degrees, once i put room temperature non-dairy creamer in it the temp drops to something closer to cool bath water. We bought it on Black Friday and its brewed 4 pots, %26 all were cool (98 degrees) within 5 min of creamer, today is December 14 writing this review.

I think we might have got a faulty unit, but it broke after only four months. We also had issues with it only making too much coffee regardless of the setting. We could set it to the lowest setting, and it would always fill it up to the top, so clearly something was wrong. Not very high quality. Let's do that because I do like having a water tank and both the ability to make a pot of coffee as well as individual cups within the same condensed unit. If it doesn't work and it falls apart after four months, then it's a waste of money.

I purchased this coffee maker Dec 24, 2024. The k cup side quit,working correctly approx 4 weeks ago. The lid to the basket on the coffee pot side has cracked and appears to have gotten too hot and slightly melted. It is under warranty with the Keurig company, but they have told me that my serial %23 is not valid, my proof of purchase is not valid, and I purchased a used unit. Which none of this is true. I would not recommend this coffee maker, nor a Keurig product.

We’ve used Keurig coffee makers for over 10 years and loved them. When it came time to replace it decided on the duo so we could make a pot or single cup. POS 1. Can make a pot or single cup 2. Nice compact design 2. Easy to use Cons 1. Quit working after 2 weeks. 2. Went to make a cup of coffee but nothing lite up. Tried to troubleshoot with no avail then called customer service and was told to send it back and they would send a new one after they checked this one out. 3. Older style you could select 8- 16 oz, this on only allow 6, 10, 12 oz cup or a pot. 4. After reviewing online to get up to 16 oz you would need to purchase the $399 . Like I mentioned we’ve been using Keurig for over 10 years but the quality isn’t the same. Maybe I got a defective one but the con’s outweighs the pro’s. I’m purchasing another brand.

This is the 2nd time I have bought this exact coffee maker. First time it broke after a year. We got it again because love the design and functionality, but it broke AGAIN after less than 2 months. It’s is not user error, it just stopped working. It’s a shame because it’s a very nice coffee maker. We are going to write to Keurig about it.

The single cup serve side leaks all over. None of the ounce selections are even near the amount they state. If you select 12 ounces you get around 8. It takes for ever to brew The pot side starts at 8 cups so if you just want 4 cups you waste coffee or else you get weak coffee. I got this on a black Friday sale for $79.00. The original price they say is $140. I wouldn’t even pay $59.00. Save your money and get a $29.00 Mr Coffee.

1st one i bought in November for my grandpa, it barley lasted 6 months and broke last month. It stopped turning on completely. 2nd one we bought last month. I tried making a k cup yesterday and it started smoking. I cant believe my grandpa and I spent 100 or more bucks on something so crappy. The coffee makers that are 40/50 bucks that can only make pots of coffee are so much more sturdy than this. You would think if you invest in an expensive product that it would come with quality. It doesnt. Id really love a refund for my grandpa because he doesnt have money to be spending like that and since we cant live without a coffee makers he has to pull more money from his saving to invest is a separate company. I used to really love keurig but for a product to not even last a MONTH. Im absolutely in shock in the quality. Do not spend your money on this.
