i go fishing and camping about 12 days a month. i have been using a 2 burner camp stove with a griddle. i wanted a small bargecue to do steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. i just got back from my latest trip, and used this every day!! i love this grill!! it worked perfectly!! and folds up compact!! don't hesitate to get this!! char-broil and walmart!! thank you both!! this grill is very sturdy!!
Works like a charm. A replacement for my first Char- Broil. First one lasted 15 years, looking forward to another 15 with this one. Very good price/value for a grill that does exactly what it's supposed to do, grill your steaks, fish, veggies, kabobs etc. to perfection. When this one wears out in 15 years, I'll buy another one, highly recommended.
Weve used these little grills for years in our RVs. They take up very little space in the outside storage, are pretty stable when used on a table or the ground, and last a couple of years usually before they need to be replaced. We like using the small Coleman propane tanks as they are readily available and we dont have to carry a large propane tank around with us and haul it out every evening. We pretty much bbq daily and are impressed with how long these will last with a little care.
Bought a new one for the simple reason I wore the old one out. Have had this piece for years and wore the burner holes out. Placing a baking tray under the unit relly helps keep everything clean.
The legs that the grill stands on arent tall enough for the propane canister that screws in to the grill. So you'd have to have a table to set the grill on you can't use it on the ground and have it be stable. That's the only reason I gave this four stars instead of five if they could correct that it would be a five-star product. I cooked on it several times now and everything has been great as long as I set up a little stand and I don't try to cook on the ground.
This grill is perfect for when space is limited. I use this grill for taking out on the ice when fishing the cold wisconsin winter. This grill is light weight, compact, and self-contained. The one down fall of this grill I found was there is only 3 temp settings, lighting, hi, and low. I wish the grill would let the user adjust the flame to more settings inbetween.
It works well, but it can not be where the wind can hit it directly. It blows out the burner. A 5 mph wind is all it takes. Get it out of the wind and it works great.
when you call for service no matter what time of day or which option you select the automated message tells you there is a 20 minute wait to talk to anyone. The problem could have been resolved in 2 minutes, but I ended up returning the product to Walmart.
inconvenient when trying to close by raising the legs up...the gas hook-up gets on the way so it has to be removed before it can be closed..... I had an older model and i was able to close the lid and lock it with the legs while the gas hook-up still on.
first time i used it...the paint wrinkled up on the lid. the propane regulator doesnt fit tight and i actually had to use a rock under the propane tank to raise it up to make it tighter, otherwise the whole tank and regulator would pull out. The legs are junk too, they dont lock open and too much movement.......your burgers will be on the ground! For the price, it wasnt worth a trip to return to walmart, but i'll never buy another.
