Love having a gas grill again. I gave up on charcoal. I'm glad the hubs is a mechanical minded person it took a while to put together. The igniter needs a battery, and there are instructions on how to light manually. No blemishes and every part (of which there are many) was there. Has a removable drip grease pan and 2 nice shelves. Overall, this 4 burner (5 if you include the side burner) will keep summer heat out of my south facing kitchen.
love this grill. It heats up quickly and keeps a pretty high temp. Like the autoignite, larger wheels and heavy cooking grates. Assembly was pretty easy but time consuming. all parts included and undamaged. The only tricky part was attaching the controls for the side burner. difficult to get it flush and still thread the screws. it looks great too and will probably hold up better than the old stainless steel one we have.
I put the grill together myself, and I'm not super mechanically inclined in any way. I You Tubed the DIY for my same grill and followed that along with the instructions. Everything was pretty easy (You Tube helped tremendously). All of the screws, spacers, cotter pins, etc were well organized. Highly recommend
Assembly through Angi was ok but person told me After it was assembled that the ignition button was not working, later after I called charbroil customer service I was told it should have come with battery for button. There was no battery in it and the assembler didn't give me one or tell me it wasn't in it. After putting my own battery in it worked.
Auto ignition button was broken and u don't know that until one of the very last steps of assembly. Speaking of assembly, came in a thousand parts and took over 3 hours to put together, but it was on sale for $247 so I didn't mind much. Sturdy grill, cooks and cleans well.
The assembly of the grill was straightforward; the grill itself was already assembled in the box. The stand was very easy to assemble, but it felt very cheap. The material was made of cheap sheet metal and plastic. I feel the grill would be better served used as a drop-in grill rather than using the stand that comes with it.
After you figure out how to put it together since none of the parts are marked and come with the correct parts but missing pieces from that part. I had to buy bolts to hold some the screws into place because it was missing pieces. The electric start does not work so have to use grill lighter to start
Burner tray fell off because the screws aren't even there. Several screw were not even tightened. It is basically unusable with those screws missing. The extra burner was not even hooked up. Give me a phone number that I can call to rectify the situation. I, at least need the hardware to finish the assembly myself!!!
First and foremost this grill burns EVERYTHING! The heat shields, according to Charbroil tech support whom I've already spoken with, are designed to catch the grease and burn it at such a high temperature that it evaporates thus causing more flavor on the food. That is per Charbroil. Now the issue is the grease is catching fire before it has the opportunity to evaporate. The other issue is when it IS evaporating, it's causing a massive amount of smoke which is a lot more than usual for a normal grill. I have burned everything I've cooked and Charbroil even asked me to send them a video of me cooking on it, which I did and am now awaiting a reply after 2 weeks. The other issue was from Walmart. The worst customer service I have ever received by far. They delivered my grill to another house AND on the wrong day. When I asked them for a photo of the grill on my front porch they said the driver never took one (conveniently) even though they said he should have. I fought for 2 weeks to try and get another one but Walmart kept insisting I received the grill and even sent me an email stating so. I had my bank block the charge and bought a new one. Walmart, if you have your own drivers delivering stuff, their best weapon is a picture of the product on the porch. None of this would have been an issue had that simple task been done. Definitely the last time I ever buy from Walmart. Depending on Charbroils response, I may never buy from them again either.
Took everything out of the box to assemble. It's missing the two bottom shelves. So irritating,we now have to try and fit everything back in the box to have Fedex pickup. What a wasted hour in the 98 Florida heat unboxing, reading directions and reboxing !! Do better,
