Chefman 2 Slice Toaster with 7 Shade Settings, Removable Crumb Tray, Bagel & Defrost Modes — Black

This is a very nice toaster for the money. It toasts quick, the controls are easy to use and it looks nice on the counter.

The bagel button is great it toasts the inside of the bagel and warms the outside. Does not burn the outside.

It has a wide opening good for thick bread and number 3 for toastiness and color is good for me. Haven't used the defrost yet.

It took 3 tries to get a new toaster I was happy with. I would buy this toaster again. It is easy to use and most importantly it browns the bread evenly. I'd have given it 5 stars if the exterior was metal instead of plastic. It is a good value at the $27.99 price I paid.

The only thing you should know is if you use the shade selector, 1 is extremely light, 2 and 3 are both quite dark, haven't used anything above 3 because 3 %26 4 are pretty dark.

The specifications state the slot width is 1.5 inches and the slot size is 8 inches. These are both not true. It is only 1.25 inches wide so a bagel has to be pushed down as you slide the lever down. The slot is only 5.25 inches long so Oroweat bread also has to be pushed down so it can be toasted. It does toast okay if a bit longer than it should.

The toaster takes a long time to toast or cook bagels. It only browns one side of the bagel. It is very cheaply made using the minimum grade of metal. Will return.

At first it worked fine. I ran test toast on five setting , and it was fine. Gradually , it was burning my toast till I had to put it to a number two. Then last night I was making toast and started smelling wires burning, electrical smell. My toast was burning at number two , and wire smell is not a good thing. I have unplugged it in order , a new different brand toaster. I am handicapped , so taking it back to the store is not an option. I will just dispose of a brand new toaster. So incredibly disappointed. And now it's cost me more money. I hope this next one is a good brand. I ordered in Oster. I could possibly have them pick it back up , but my fear is that someone might put it back on the rack for sale , and this could start a fire.

Recieved it on the Thursday and ejection fence/gate broke. Won't figured out how to repair it. Very fragile. Took it back to Wally on Saturday. Refunded very FAST! Don't buy it!

Smelled toxic taking it out of the box. It also has the proposition warning on the printed material. Shame on them for making a toaster like this. Returned this for a Dash toaster. Much better quality.
