We use this in the kitchen of a small private school mainly for items like ramen noodles and this works perfect for them. The water heats up very quickly and is ready to use in no time. I love the auto shut off. We don't have to worry that it was left on and burning itself( or something else) up.
The Chefman Electric Glass Kettle is very much more amazing than i thought it would be. Very simple and quick. Pour the water in the kettle, place the kettle on the power pad, you'll see a blue light when you turn it on. Watch it boil for very short time until blue light shuts off. Enjoy hot cocoa, coffee, tea an so on. Quick and Easy! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I found another wonderful item at Walmart. It heats the water to boiling quickly. I like the way it shuts off once it hot. My tea tastes a lot better. Be careful because it really gets hot. Easy to clean. I'm trying to get my family away from use of microwave, which cannot compare to the Chefman.
I'm very pleased with this kettle and pleasantly surprised. Ordinarily I figure in advance that "you get what you pay for," and so when I decide to buy something low cost like this, especially with a brand I'm not personally familiar with, I just prepare myself that it might not be the greatest and hope for the best. This kettle is very nice and does what it promises. It is attractive, sturdy, easy to use, heats fast, and the automatic shut off works exactly when it should. What a nice surprise. I will certainly be willing to try more of the Chefman products since this one is top notch. (oh and as a side note, the blue ring that lights it up when it's heating is nice eye-candy for this old Granny too, hehe).
Having used a lot of kettles, this one is extremely functional and easy to clean. I've never seen the infused tea option, but that will be handy. I chose that one because you can remove the top and let it sit upside down to drain. Most of them the top doesn't remove and they sit crooked and don't drain completely. Very functional.
I bought this for my family to use as they love to make Ramen. They liked it because we don't have to use the microwave and it heats up quickly. Its easy tell when its ready because it has a blue light that lights up. Love the automatic shut off for extra safety, once its boiled it shuts off,
This electric kettle was a great purchase. I've been wanting one for a while and I'm happy to finally have one. I love the fact that it's so simple to use and it prepares my tea better heating my water in the microwave. The only downside is the base constantly comes apart I wish they would have assembled it together.
that it does not keep water warm while still plugged in. others I've had in the past kept water warm for at least an hour . But this one does not. you have to purchase other one for more money that keeps water warm for " up to" an hour. it's good if all you want to do is heat fill cup or 2 %26 that's all you want. otherwise get the other option that says Keep warm feature. keeping since now Zi only heat water for my tea use the inner tea hold to brew than put in insulated container %26 it keeps it warm for up to 12 hours. so if your happy doing that, it's a good unit for heating the water.... just need to find another way to "keep it warm" for additional cups during day.
worked great for couple of months but then the seal in the bottom allows the water to lean whenever the water is heated. I am assuming the gasket is cracked and as the heat expends, the crack opens up to let the water leak out. I was going to open it up to verify but the screw is triangle shaped screw so I decided it was too much work and threw it away. do not buy this brand
One place in description said it has a 'keep warm' feature.. but then another area it says it just keeps the water warm for an hour . and I don't know if all of them work like mine did, but mine kept boiling and boiling until dry, and never saw no auto off %26 it did NOT turn off. idk if mine's defective, but I'm not going to stare at each pot to make sure it turns off after the waters been boiled away (if that's how it's supposed to work even?!?!?) %26 doesn't burn up I'm afraid I'll fall asleep on the house. Also I guess it just stays warm because it's a well insulated and tightly closed kettle. i guess. it's either heating up the water or boiling and then supposed to turn off, but mine, after its dry, kept on burnin like Proud Mary, n Tina fixin to give Ike what he deserve.... I've got mobility issues right now so I just want a pot I know is going to stop when boiling temp reached, keep it warm an hour (warm like I can still have a cup tea with that water, hot not just cooling down water after it was boiled). after boiling but then another area of the instructions is said it keeps boiling until you turn it off but that is supposed to have some auto shut off when the pot is boiled dry... which just sounds like a recipe for disaster read the instructions well, but even then it had different information in different areas that conflicted about the keep warm and auto shut off.. I wouldn't buy it again.. I'm returning it.
