Mainstays 2-Quart Iced Tea and Iced Coffee Maker, 8-Cup

Im very particular on how i make my sweet iced tea. Boil water then add tea bags %26 allow to steep for a couple hours. Then add sugar and water after removing teabags then serve over ice. This product not only simplifies the process it makes it cleaner because the teabags are kept seperate in the machine. LOVE it %26 would highly recommend!

I've used it once every 2-3 days for 2 months so far %26 it works extremely well. Very happy with my purchase. 9 tea bags is my preference. I bought a different additional pitcher to hold the tea in the fridge so I can brew more before I run out. Very pleased.

It's great for the price but it does have drawbacks versus others I have used that cost more. Loose leaf tea has to be bagged or filtered otherwise it'll end up in your pitcher. The placement of the pitcher against the heater is just awkward to get it to easily line up and fit. A bit of a gap would have been more useful but then probably a danger as it emits steam I. Bursts like a pressure cooker near the end of the water reservoir. This could be hazardous to anyone that is impatient. You have to wait for the light to go out and even then I give it at least another minute or two before removing the pitcher so I don't get a blast of steam. I would prefer it had a larger capacity water reservoir but you can add water to refill during the cycle to make a double batch or so if not using a lot of ice. It is easy to clean out the tea chamber which is great. Being a plastic pitcher is also. Try handy not being super careful like you have to be with those thin glass ones. Over all for the price it is worth it. I'll use it for awhile until I find something I like better though.

don't like how it falls out of place, must hold it just right when turning it on, the pitcher will slide out of place if you aren't careful, you need 2 hands, one hand to hold the pitcher in place and another to push the button, if not careful the water will pour all over the place.

Plug in, add water %26 tea bag, hit button DONE. Really happy with this product. Price point is great. Does exactly what it is designed to do. I read a few reviews that weren't accurate. If you expect something made of stainless steel or gold my guess is it wouldn't sell for $22. Ordering another one specifically for the pitcher. Love the pitcher.

It quit working the 3rd time I used it. I made the mistake of asking for a replacement and it is forever in "preparing " stage of shipment! I haven't been impressed with Mainstay products lately. I will have to eat the $25 and just go buy a different brand of tea maker. Probably from Amazon this time.

Replaced my old Mr. Coffee that I absolutely loved and used every single day. The pitcher finally gave out after years of use. Found the Mainstays model, and except for the updated design of the carafe it is an absolute clone, right down to the pitcher, of the Mr. Coffee model that is no longer available. I love it and couldn't be happier with it. It is the same quality as the Mr. Coffee brand.

One exact month to the day I bought it, the pitcher cracked. I hope to still return it. I never liked the fact that tea flavor was never what you get with this product. You get colored water. If it weren't for the Splenda it would have no taste. Easy to use. There no more to it in using it properly than there is in taste.

Unfortunately this will be our 2nd purchase in less than a year. The plastic picture is too thin and developed cracks after use. We use it weekly and have always hand washed it. There is no option to buy the picture separately so when it cracks you have to buy a whole new setup. I would recommend buying an extended warranty for a few more dollars.

I bought the tea maker to make my life a little easier. Previously I bought a brand new coffee maker and used that to make tea. It went out after a great many uses. For some reason when I make my tea with the tea maker it spoils quickly. I like my tea very sweet, but I make the same way when I use a coffee maker. Anyway, I really wouldn't recommend that you buy one of these.
