Cholula Chiles & Pepitas Chili Crisp Sauce, 8.0 oz Bottle

I received this as part of a promotion, but I'm glad I did! This Chili Crisp is wonderful - it has a great flavor, with a lovely smoky flavor that isn't overpowering. My family and I have used Cholula for years - this doesn't have a whole lot of Cholula flavor to it but it absolutely is unique! I liked that you can actually see the "crisp" part of it - pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. I put this on a breakfast burrito with eggs and sausage, and it definitely leveled it up! It has a bit of a kick to it but it dies down fairly quickly, which I prefer! I would definitely recommend!

I love Salsa Macha and this is a great easy way to get it at the grocery store. It's not just a convenient option, it's a delicious option. The flavor is smoky, has some real spice and is great on so many things. My favorite of those things being eggs. Go get yourself some!

Really tasty with a nice crunchy texture from the pepitas. It has a mild to medium spice level and adds great flavor to eggs, noodles, tacos, and rice. It's not overly oily, and the smoky chili taste is delicious. A good choice if you like a little heat without it being too spicy.I would recommend it to my friends and family.

I really enjoyed trying the Cholula Chiles & Pepitas Chili Crisp sauce! It tastes great while it is not so hot that you can't stand it, the only thing that I didn't care for was all of the seeds. It came in an 8 oz glass jar with a twist off lid. It was a reddish color with white looking seeds, and a white screw off lid with the word Cholula spelled out on the top. I tried it just on a saltine cracker to start with and it was alright that way but then we tried putting it on some barbecue pork and it was amazing. I would recommend trying this product with some barbecue and I think you will find that you love it too.

This sauce had a wonderful variety of seeds, which gave it a nice flavor and texture. However, this sauce was very oily and was WAY too hot (spice level) for my palette that can only tolerate up to a true medium spice level. I would say that this is SPICY/HOT level of spice, not a medium level. I used this on a sandwich, which again, would have added a nice flavor to it, but my mouth was burning. Also, the oil from the sauce was dripping out of the sandwich. I also added a small amount to a skillet of rice, which added to the flavor, but again, too spicy for me. I believe I might enjoy a MILD version of this sauce to flavor different dishes (quesadillas, sandwiches, etc.). I have been given a jar of this in exchange for my honest review.

I very much loved the flavor and crunch of this. I felt it was very oil dense. I had to empty a lot of it as it was just too much oil. I also felt if it were a more healthy oil say like olive or avocado oil it would have not given my belly upset as it did with the chosen oil.
