Cholula Birria Cooking & Simmer Sauce, 12.0 fl oz Bottle

I love me some Birria anything. When I had the chance to try Cholula brand, I had too. The directions say a 3lb chuck roast and the Birria simmering sauce in a insta pot. I don't have that so I put it in the crockpot on low for a few hours. I followed the directions with that one exception. The day of I made birria tacos with the corn tortillas and dipped it in the consume. The 2nd day is when the flavor really kicked in. My opinion is this is the closest you will get to authentic Mexican Birria.

We were given a full sized sample of the NEW Cholula Birria Cooking and Simmer Sauce and it is so delicious and flavorful. It is good for meats, proteins, vegetables, you name it. We used it for a vegetable stir fry, doing a slow simmer on the range. The flavors are smooth, plentiful!!

This stuff is really good!! I used one bottle of Cholula birria simmer sauce with a 2.25lb beef roast, 1/3 white onion, and 16oz beef broth in the crockpot on low for 10-11hrs(my crockpot cooks slow, so time may vary). I shredded the beef and made quesabirria tacos with queso fresco, and I fried the tortillas in the consumé. I love the flavors in this. It is similar in flavor to the best quesabirria tacos in my city. Can't wait to make this again!! We were literally drinking the juice!

I used it to make Easy Beef Birria in my pressure cooker. It has a thinner consistency compared to other cooking sauces I've tried. Each 1/4 cup serving has 1280 mg of sodium so the salt content is a little high. Overall it really elevated my dish and I'd purchase it in the future.

Tad bit spicy, even though it is considered mild I didn't add a little sugar to kind of tame out the spice for my kiddos, but will definitely buy this again. I don't know how to make it with all the peppers and stuff so this is a great substitution to me 10 out of 10 for being out of a jar.

This Birria was delicious! I used a slow cooker instead of an Instant Pot and it worked perfectly. I just threw the beef and sauce in together and cooked it on low for 8 hours and came back to a kitchen that smells amazing. The sauce has real depth and it tastes layered, not flat and the heat is mild so it works for everyone. The chuck roast shredded perfectly and soaked back up into the sauce. I loaded it into tortillas and used the left overs for nachos. I definitely will be picking this up ahai

Tried this sauce and really enjoyed it. Great flavor with just the right amount of heat. It's not overpowering, but enough to give it a nice kick. i love and use cholula all the times, but im always grabbing your usual and familiar hot sauce, that can never let you down. this one tho, it's a sauce and a marinade, and it's savory and a little spicey, but the flavor still comes thru. omg i love it on steak and anything beef and seared. a true kitchen staple.

The Cholula Birria Cooking & Simmer Sauce made such an easy and really good meal. I put a chuck roast in the crock pot on low for several hours, shredded it, dipped corn tortillas in the sauce, fried them, added shredded Mexican cheese, and made birria tacos for a party appetizer. Everybody loved them and said they tasted like restaurant tacos. The sauce had a little more spice than I usually eat, but it wasn't too spicy. That's the only reason I gave it a 4 stars out of 5.
