I've always bought McCormick taco seasoning because that's what I grew up with, but I bought this one instead on a whim because it sounded like a fun way to change it up a little, and it's really good! I used it on ground beef and mixed half a packet with 8oz of sour cream for a delicious dip/topping as well. Will keep in the regular rotation! It's mild in the south but would be considered spicy north of the mason Dixon line lol. Perfect for me though!
The heat level is mild-to-medium (my max) a strong spice level. The garlic -sesame what-ever blend is so much better than what I used to buy. I season chicken for burritos with it and it's delicious. I add more (maybe 2x the) water than they suggest because I like it like a sauce. It is almost too salty but once I add my cilantro, refried beans, sour cream, and Goya Mexican rice it's all very good together. I get compliments!
Very flavorful, aromatic, authentic spices. Not too sweet or hot, a mild zing, great for tacos, meatloaf, meatballs, sausage spice if making sausages.
This taco seasoning is delicious! It's mild but very flavorful. It has a great garlic taste as a top note and the chili pepper is mild enough for children and those who don't like too much spice.
I originally got this seasoning packet for free through a product testing program (anyone who does these knows what I'm talking about) and have already completed my reviews associated with that. But since then, we've continued to buy this seasoning many many times. It's genuinely sooo good. We used shaved steak with it and then used the leftover meat for quesadillas the next day. This stuff is seriously so good, I can't recommend it enough (especially on shaved steak). My family LOVES this stuff, I only wish they sold it in a giant bottle or something because we're obsessed with it and eat it every single week.
This seasoning is what takes your Taco's from dull to delicious! I'm not a cook that has delusions of grandeur about my food being more than palatable..But this makes everyone's mouth water while cooking..and all I did was brown some ground beef and add the packet.. I used soft flour tortillas and shredded cheese and ,sour cream...
Bought this on a whim. So glad I did. I like this better than my homemade taco seasoning. It has a kick to it, but that's not unexpected considering it's Cholula. Highly recommend!
Oh my gosh, seriously delish seasoning! Perfect in ground meat or dumped in the crock pot with a hunk of pork, few tablespoons of ketchup, can of pineapple and a pack of low sodium taco seasoning.
My family didn't find this tastes better than other brands. It didn't stand out as a seasoning packet I cannot live without in my Mexican recipes. Honestly for the price, Great Value original taco seasoning is hands down the best in my opinion. I will not repurchase the Cholula seasoning packet again. Ironically my family loves Cholula hot sauce.
Did not have the balance of flavor I was expecting. Very strong taste with a little bitterness, needed a little more sugar added. I prefer El Paso or McCormick brands.
