Lipton Recipe Secrets Beefy Onion Dry Recipe Soup and Dip Mix, 2 Oz, 2 Pack

I love this rich beefy, flavored onion soup mix. I use it when I make meatloaf and when I cook a beef pot roast gives the meat and the broth such a good flavor. I also use it when I make vegetable beef soup.. when added to the three things I mentioned it boost the flavor of the meat, so much better than it would be without the soup seasoning

I add it to dishes I make, it's really good on beef brings out real nice flavors. and when the price of beef goes up, I add it to mashed potatoes boiled potatoes. sprinkle over boiled or steamed veggies. add a bit to rice and mix in some mixed veggies and a bit of spam shavings Poorman's banquet. it has so many different uses.

This is the first time in my 68 years that I used an onion soup mix and I chose this to sprinkle over a pot roast. I wish I hadn't waited so long, it was delicious. It made the broth so rich and flavorful that I can't wait to use it for soup with the leftovers.

This is one of three kinds of Lipton Onion Soup mixes I always keep a couple boxes of on hand in my pantry because they're such versatile staples. The original, the beefy onion, and the mushroom are always stocked at my house. This one is hands down part of the best mix for making the yummiest pot roast ever. I make a pot roast with potatoes and carrots every week in my instant pot rio wide and these are one of only four ingredients you need to make the tastiest broth to cook everything in and then to thicken jnto gravy. I use one box of Better Good beef bone broth, fill the empty box up with water and then add another half a box of water, add your roast (I enjoy a round London Broil as the cut but chuck roast works, too), then sprinkle 2 packs of the Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix over top of the roast and into the water, then several heavy handed splashes of worcestershire sauce (GV brand) onto the roast and into the broth mixture, too. Then you're good to go to pressure cook the roast. Next add your carrots and pressure cook for 5 minutes, then set it to saute and add your halved new potatoes or quartered russet potatoes and boil the mixture until the potatoes are tender and falling apart. You can keep boiling and the gravy will thicken on its own because the soup mix includes thickening agents. I also use this to make yummy seasoned carrots and potatoes in a similar manner as above (just leave out the roast and cook the carrots %26 potatoes the same as you would for the pot roast) because they're so yummy for serving with other beef dishes. The broth mixture is able to be turned into a gravy as well. You can do so much with this mix which is why it's one of my all time favorites.

I put this in my hamburger meat for tacos instead of taco seasoning and it made tacos so much better absolutely delicious. Taste a little too high on the sodium content but still delicious. Highly recommend.

Hint, hint, one package in 1 Ib. of hamburger or ground chicken makes the best burgers! I also use 1-2 packets in my beef pot roast and someone told me that she has traveled extensively around the world and hasn't tasted a better beef roast than mine. Now that, felt really nice!

I’ve tried the store brands of this product and they just don’t compare. I’m pretty sure my mom used this too. It makes the best meatloaf. And when she makes pot roast, she would brown it and then use this mixed with a can of cream of mushroom and put it in the slow cooker. Your house will smell amazing!

Have used this product many years and have found no substitute that compares in taste and quality. The taste is mellow and the dehydrated onions are not so strong to overpower the overall taste. Meatloaf, soup, roast and so many other uses. This is the best of the best.

I've used this for years.. are you sit on my pork Roast, Beef Roast and even my turkey.. yes, if you do it in the oven, it does help with the gravy.I don't pour it over the top You can also be used in sour cream let it sit overnight , and it's a dip My brother used to love that version I See that they asked about salty. it is a little but not much... when cooked and hydrated its perfectly soft. it is yummy it makes great gravy.. And yes I recommend Lipton Onion soup

Ordered crackers for delivery. Recieved box due to expire 9 May 2026. Less than a month away. Was wondering why crackers were crumbling away. Hard to see experation date. ,
