A little detour from our usual ground beef taco night and it was delicious as well as easy crockpot prep then all day cook. Loren went with traditional corn tortillas and I used flour. The freshly chopped onion and fresco cheese were the perfect finishing touch 🌮
I was so happy to see that this was sold in the store. I previously ordered it online a couple of times. I was so happy to see that this was sold in the store. I previously ordered it online a couple of times. I added a diced onion to the crockpot along with garlic powder and a little seasoning, salt, and let it cook when I tell you it was wonderful. We were even able to make a Birria Ramen.
At first I thought this was pretty expensive, but now I believe it was well worth it. Used in in the pressure cooker with a chuck roast. Was fall apart tender and perfectly seasoned. There was a bit of heat but not too much. Will definitely be buying again.
I really enjoyed this when I prepared it. I would recommend it, but I’m not going to be spending $20 again unless I can’t find everything solo. I was craving it and wanted to give it a shot myself. However, you only receive two bombs. It is a little pricey for $20 but it is good.
My family loved it. Guys you should get this 100%. If it’s your first time trying the birria recipe use this red onion lime Cilantro mozzarella corn tortillas and save the juice for ramen the next meal!!
The Bombs are AMAZING and if you have a pressure cooker it couldn’t be easier. My kids LOVED it and so did I. Only complaint that I have is that at almost eight dollars a ball it’s a BIT overpriced. I could but enough spices to last a year with the 15 dollars it costs for two of them. But I’ll still pay it because I don’t wanna mess up the flavor and this is just so easy. I suppose I’m paying for the convenience! Salute!
I made chicken tinga and it was absolutely amazing. Followed the directions and added a small amount of beef broth just to keep everything moist and have leftover juices. It was so easy to make. It had the flavors that I really don’t think I could reproduce unless I bought a ton of ingredients. Yes, these spice mixes are a bit pricey compared to others, but with the amount of time I saved, ease of cooking, and minimal kitchen cleanup I’d say this was well worth the cost. This made my family around 3 separate meal servings so we ended up saving much more money than if we ordered in or dined out. You get restaurant quality food in the comfort of your home.
This item is great to have when the craving hits. It tastes great and its easy to just drop into the crock pot. I do use this with beef broth and not just water like it calls for. I like the convince of not having to have various different dried peppers on hand to make this, but I do find it very expensive for what it is. Because of the expense I only purchase it a couple times a year when I would much rather enjoy it every couple months in my meal rotation.
I love trying new flavors and new spices. I was a bit hesitant to buy this because, frankly, when you have a massive spice collection and are a pretty good cook, $16 is a lot of money to spend for two dinners. Still, sometimes you want to do something just for fun and to see if it lives up to the hype. I'm not sorry I bought this. FYI: I have to admit that I'm incapable of following a recipe, even if I'm intrigued by buying something that will make my food taste good with someone else doing the work. I barbecue a lot of chicken in my instant pot air fryer, and mainly use it for most things I cook these days, but I decided to make this the old-fashioned way in my ceramic crockpot. I put in five chicken thighs and one chicken breast and used both of the Tinga balls. I added three sliced limes, Walmart's very handy chopped up garlic( yes, mom, I hear you telling me how decadent that is), and 2 1/2 sweet onions sliced up. it's delicious. Since I added the limes, it gave it a flavor that reminds me of Thai Tom Yum soup. My experience with slow cooker recipes is that your chicken needs to cook on the low end of the range. If it says 4 to 6 hours, check it at four, tear it in the middle, and see if it needs more.
I've ordered the birria bomb before and thought it was great other than being rather pricey. But we decided to take a chance on the turkey brine one. It caught my attention with the mention of the flavors of garlic and rosemary brine with a finishing rub, sounds amazing! The Walmart app shows it to be a 2-pack for $19.99... which is a better value than the birria EZ Bomb from Walmart of 1 bomb for $15.79.... When my order was delivered, there was only 1 package, with 1 bomb and 1 finishing rub.... so buyer beware... the offer of a 2-pack is apparently meaning one bomb and one rub... instead of 2 bombs and 2 rubs. This should be made more clear in the description of the product as that is very deceiving. We will be using the bomb and brine for our turkey this year, I'm sure it will turn out great with using the EZ Bomb and rub, just very disappointed in the advertising of a 2-pack and only getting one.
