Clairol Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Color Creme, 4 Dark Brown, Hair Dye, 1 Application

I have natural African American 3C hair. I used a different product beginning of Nov with a permanent color. I used a reddish auburn color but my roots were showing badly. I wanted a rinse. I saw this. I dyed my whole head with no damage. I have a lot of gray hair. Full gray coverage. I like that it didn't have ammonia and was VEGAN! I love this color it's BEAUTIFUL. The smell is wonderful. The conditioner made my hair so soft. It's more than what I usually spend but the result is worth it. Even though I had hair product in my hair and it was not fully clean it still worked. I've been working nonstop. Haven't had time to do my hair. My hair is short. I really loved how easy it was and The shade looks amazing on me. One thing was it ended up a little redder than I was expecting but it still looked amazing so I can’t complain. I have dark blonde hair naturally and it took to it really well. I’m excited to see how it will wash out on my virgin hair .

What can I say? This product, is one of the best hair coloring I have ever used. No harsh products, zero ammonia, I like that it has coconut oil, %26 aloe. The color last for months. Very pleased with this product.

this is the 2nd time ive used this in the past 2 years and i absolutely love it. it doesnt have any strong odors, the color is beautiful, and its makes my hair so soft and keeps it from further damage. if youre going to dye your hair, use this line of hair dye ! it took several months for the wash out and it actually did something amazing with my hair once it did because it was a gradiant dark blonde to light blonde, and it covers up color (and i mean COLOR) really well ! truly made me so happy 😊

I was very pleased with this product! I went with the 5BZ medium bronze brown. I’ve only had my hair colored at the salon and was a bit nervous to try this. But on a whim decided I’d give it a go! My husband was my stylist for the night and if he can do it and us see good results, I’d say it was a win! I have not noticed the first bit of damage and have since had my hair (professionally) cut and she said it looked really good too. I did go a deeper/richer color that wasn’t too far from the color my hair already was so I wasn’t completely changing color. It’s still on my hair and I did it 5 weeks ago. It has lightened but that’s to be expected. I only wash once or twice a week. I will do this again and would recommend!

This is easy to use, works well for me and smells great. I have used it for almost ten years and it makes my hair look and feel healthier. It actually worked for my High Porosity hair and my daughter's Low Porosity. If you need to cover gray, I have found need to leave it on an extra five mintues. I have used quite a few of the colors and loved them all.

I have medium to long hair and lots of it. One bottle was enough and it covered my grays well enough. I used brass free medium brown because my hair already has a gold/reddish tint that tends to show through that I didn't want to amplify, and this really did neutralize that. It's been just over a month since I dyed it and my silver hair around the temples are visible, but there's no root line, so overall it's growing out/fading nicely. I have noticed more loose hairs after showers/brushing, and I'm guessing this is due to the dye weakening my hair. That is really my only reason for 4 stars over 5. I've used demi permanent hair dye before and don't remember that happening. It could just be because I'm getting older or that I just didn't notice increased hair loss in the past, but I might try a different brand to be sure.

I received a Clairol Natural Instincts hair dye that is expired (made in 2020). If I had used it, it could have seriously damaged my hair. I’m very disappointed that an expired product was sent.

I ordered this item online for home delivery and it was received damaged and partially open. In my opinion is was likely picked at the store (on purpose) as a way to get rid of damaged inventory. No in-store shopper would ever have chosen a damaged box of hair dye so Walmart likely has their staff passing off these items to its unsuspecting online customers. I obviously can't use this item so I'm just going to take the loss. However, going forward I will now order my personal care and beauty items from other retailers. ONLINE SHOPPERS BEWARE!

Over 3 mo and tried every hack and product to remove dye and nothing works; tried a zillion shampoos, baking soda, vinegar and OTC- “OOPS” color remover, and called the hotline. Now my hair is dried out and ruined and I have had to cut it and buy wigs to wear until this grows out. Have used this product before and never had this happen. BEWARE
