First of all if you don't know how to color your hair yourself, go to a professional to have it done. You can take your desired hair color with you. If you're used to coloring your own hair you shouldn't have any problems if you follow the basic directions. I buy this brand regularly!
i am a 61-yr old Caucasian with long, mature dreads. My hair is course and difficult yo color, let alone try to get any lasting coverage over my greys. I find Clairol Textures gives me the colors I prefer, the best coverage, and one of the few hair dyes that fades evenly. Plus it covers my greys nicely.
I absolutely love Clairol Textures %26 Tones hair dye. Not only is my color vibrant and looks the color of a brand new penny, but my hair is so soft that my comb glides straight through it. Since I'm a few weeks late in this review, I'll have to come back with pictures after I refresh the color in a few weeks - in in the process of changing phones and all my pictures are still loaded on the old phone.
I'm obsessed with my hair after using this color. I was intending to go back to my natural (or as close to natural) as possible, and I feel this really did it. Easy to use, smells nice, and my hair processed quickly. It covered up any gray that may have been in my hair.
Easy to use. I have bra length locs and it takes 2-3 boxes if I'm dyeing my whole head. If I'm just touching up 1 box is plenty. The directions are good, if you have virgin hair I would add 10 minutes or wear a plastic cap while colorings the conditioner is a great. I mix it with a little water to make sure it spreads evenly throughout my hair. The colors 1-5 are true to the guide on the box. They don't use bleach on most colors but hydrogen peroxide is used to make the hair more receptive to color.
ive got very sensitive scalep and some greys popping up and aging isnt helpful lol, but this is amazing for the thin, damaged hair its safe i recommend people to use this if u are worried about damage dont with this one! its safe and efficent and works well!! ive tried very exspensive diy mixing brands and boxed dyes bleaches ect.. u name it ive yried it and im telling yall this is safe for the most fragile damaged sensitive scalps and it covers ur greys and all ur hair strands and anyone can use this product without fear of lossing tbe rest of hair! im not bald yay! and it actually made my hair look better!! wow
I like everything except the color result but that's because I had more gray than I thought so it resulted in a ginger red with some dark streaks instead of the deeper red I wanted. Otherwise my hair feels soft and healthy. It was easy to rinse out. There's plenty of conditioning mask included. My hair is shining more now than before. I will look for the deeper red for my next application.
For caramel brown- It left my hair more red than brown. Didn't completely cover grey. It had a pleasant smell. Conditioner left my hair so ft. Anti-brass technology Is good. Root area About 80% grey coverage. Silver tone Didn't leave. Temporary color- it's permanent.
I use box dye pretty much exclusively, and this one was probably the worst I've used so far, my roots took little to no color, I left the dye on for about 45 minutes (15 over the suggested time) and I was disappointed with how it turned out. It could have been just my hair texture not working with the dye, but I personally don't recommend it even with the low price, there's definitely better out there for about the same price. I'm not sure how well the roots show up in the pictures, but in real life my roots are still very blonde.
Receive item with part 1 and 2 missing.I only had 3 and 4 in box. called to complain and was told to return it to store. it was delivered and I'm handicapped.I can't return, I am. Disappointed in walmart this is not the way it should have been handle
