Clear, Varathane Ultimate Oil-Based Interior Polyurethane, Satin-9141H, Quart

This product performs well and provides a pleasant finished surface. The only issue I had, which required some stripping and refinishing, was with the sanding instructions. The back of the can advises the user to sand between layers if the previous layer was applied twelve or more hours earlier. Which is true, but incomplete. One should also try to stick to sanding with grits 220 and 320 ONLY. If you go with a more-coarse grit, like 80 or 120, then clean *extremely* well (to temove all dust and grit from too-deep grooves) and work your way up to at least 220 (to reduce the depth of the grooves in the previous layer). And then do *not* go finer than 320. Context: I have some wood furniture which I have sanded smooth and finished with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax. So I have sandpaper going up to 2500 grit. (If you're wondering, it kinda feels like kids' construction paper.) So I merrily sanded the first coat until that puppy was smoooooth. Which meant that the next coat didn't stick. So, yeah; don't do that. (FYI: I learned of the grit restrictions when I went online to troubleshoot.)

Works better than spray can

Everything was jake. Product arrived 1 day earlier than expected. However. I ordered interior instead of exterior Varathane. Doh! ;-)

This is a great product drives in a couple hours.But I still wouldn't walk in it for a while.And just covers everything lovely

Use this for all my wood projects. Love the finish. Not too shiny.

d 2 stars because Walmart substituted three 8-ounce cans for 1 of the 32 ounce cans I ordered. The 24 ounces I got was more expensive than the 32 ounces I ordered!!

Make sure you are in a well ventilated area. This product does leave a beautiful satin sheen. I use Varathane products very often and have not been disappointed yet.

Great product great price. It was just what we needed to finish off our home project redoing our hardwood dining room table. Also picked this up curbside and it was incredibly convenient.
