I bought this thread specifically because it is 100% cotton. I was making a homemade heating pad for my 90 year old mother. The thread and material for the heating pad had to be 100% cotton because the heating pad is heated in the microwave. Any percentage of plastic, or synthetic material in the build could melt in the microwave. The heat retention medium in this homemade heating pad is uncooked rice. This thread works great! After heating the homemade heating pad numerous times in the microwave, this thread is still holding strong. The homemade heating pad works great too. Great product. I highly recommend it.
This 100% cotton Egyptian thread, T39-Coats %26 Clark, because it is more resistant than others. It also has a nice subtle lustre, and since it is a professional robust cylinder, last much longer for many projects. And thank you Walmart for sending it so fast!
I had a pattern that called for 100% cotton thread, I fussed about the cost of thread but I was presently surprised how much thread was on each roll I purchased. So, I'm happy, hope my project turns out well, if not…I'm blaming the thread.
I'm using this thread for hand piecing and it is AWESOME!! Glides through the fabric well and doesn't tangle. Great value!
I'd love a whole array of colored but it is what it is quality but as everything more expensive now but not unaffordable
I bought a somewhat large spool of Coats %26 Clark thread. It is 100%cotton, 30wt, 1200 yds, for machine and quilting. It is brand new. What else can be said?
I was looking for an affordable cotton thread, and this is a great one. I wanted to use natural fibers in my sewing projects (you can wax it with paraffin wax also sold affordable at Walmart). Waxing thread makes it easier to sew with and more durable. It also creates a water barrier to protect the thread. I look forward to using these threads. They come in a variety of colors.
I love it. It's consistent and reliable. I rarely have any problems with it except, I wish they would Print the color of the thread somewhere on the spool or the label. Who knew ha ha that there were so many different colors of white. Ordering online poses it on set of problems you never know if you're gonna get the color that you want. I thought I was ordering white turns out I was ordering winter white.
Twice I ordered 50wt quilting thread, twice I received 30 wt quilting thread. Not what I wanted, but I'll use it. Not at all happy with Walmart order pickers, they have no knowledge of the fabric department. I'll be ordering from hobby lobby and Michael's in the future, I may pay more but at least they know what they're doing.
Thread is very nice quality with ample amount on the spool. Very nice color red as well. Downside: The spool I received had pieces of thread that had been wrapped around and cut off, so it was a challenge to find the true end. Shouldn't have been sent in that shape. Not a lot of thread lost, but it wasn't in the condition it should have been.
