This grill is lightweight and fits perfectly into the bag that was designed for it. My grill arrived without a regulator, but Coleman has taken care of that by getting a regulator out to me quickly after I notified them. The grill cooks nicely, but you better not forget about your meat, otherwise it'll burn to a crisp in no time. It gets hot, and it's small, so tend your food accordingly.
We camp a lot, my husband and I. We've been struggling with a cheap propane grill that takes two of us to light and goes through fuel like crazy. So.. after looking at other "big" names and the Road Trips, and other knock offs decided based on reviews to get this compact sized grill and the carry bag. It is a perfect size for grilling for the two of us. (Also, can be used as a stovetop.) Only takes one of us to light and after a week of camping and grilling had only used about half a small canister of propane. But we do precook some of our meals at home, so just need to heat and put a nice crisp or char on. Only drawback we have about it is the height limits when the lid is closed. Pork tenderloin didn't fit nor would a half chicken, so just have to cut meat down to size, but that is the tradeoff for quick cooking and being a great fuel miser. Easy to clean, light, and set up put away. Happy with this and
Nice not to have to fire up the Genesis for a quick hot dog. Easy cleanup. Great for picnicking. Some buyer complained about the difficulty of attaching the support pads. The key to making it easy is to self-tap the screws into the bottom of the grill (before) attaching the support pads, that way the screw holes will be pre-tapped when you line up the pads for installation. The pads will then screw on with no difficulty.
We have a small RV and have tried a number of propane grills and stoves that can grill. Most of the propane grills are too big. And the stoves that have grilling capabilities seem to only have 2 settings - off and burn. But the fold-n-go is a nice sized unit that has ok heat control. Plus you can have the lid opened or closed. Room to grill for 4 people or so. With the griddle and the burner options, we now have one smaller device with lots of flexibility. The grill, griddle and burner all cleverly fit inside the lid. The unit does a good job catching the grease when grilling and cleans easy with paper towels. This is a keeper.
I love it , just used it one time but great for 4 hamburgers or 6 hotdogs or 2 nice steaks ! just to leave you know the carrying case does NOT come with the foldNgo !!!
My 1st Fold N Go was for tailgating. I liked it so much that I ordered a 2nd one as a gift - complete with griddle surface & carrying case. It's compact, easy to use & easy to clean.
The grill is just the right size for two. I can cook upto three steaks or some vegies. Great for hamburgers or hotdogs. Easy to cleans. One propane can get you upto two or three meals.
Bought this online and picked it up at my walmart in 4 days. Everything I expected after reading reviews. The price of the item told me wasn't going to be the thickest metal and would be some flaws. Just got back from scenic hwy 7 in Arkansas and grill worked great for me. I travel by myself in a 24' motorhome and storage is at a premium cooked steaks and burgers and used the griddle in mornings for eggs and bacon. Easy cleanup so I'm pleased. Will order carry bag as soon as I get off here. Recommend the griddle and the stove/grill also. put some red beans and rice in a pot and warmed them up on the stove/grill, real simply.
Too bad Coleman does not have more competition in this category, maybe they would step up the quality if they did. This BBQ has such great potential with its design, but Coleman makes it a little questionable with a very poor latch system, cheap hinges and poor build quality. The regulator that came with ours was built incorrectly and positioned the propane bottle on the BBQ itself making it unusable. We called Coleman and they are sending a new one so I do give them credit for making that replacement easy, assuming it does show up. If there were other comparable options to this I would probably be looking closely at it instead of this Coleman product.
Coleman has gone downhill in quality. The grill is painted with inferior porcelain & everything sticks 2 the grill! I tried pam, oil, nothing worked! I'm returning it!
