Coleman RoadTrip 285 Portable Stand-Up Propane Grill

I can’t be any happier with the delivery and the product its self. The setup was extremely easy our steaks came out right on point! It’s definitely going to be easy to travel with this green goddess 🤩

Got the Coleman RT 285 to replace a Camp Chef 2 burner 14” system with grill box and griddle, which was much heavier and much more gear to lug and store. The portability of this RT 285 is fantastic. Also love the three burners, side tables, and the built-in water race- track trough. This is a great grill to accessorize, so I ordered the Coleman griddle and pot adapter; and a cover. Just built it in between Zoom work calls. Can’t wait to fire it up this wknd.

These are fantastic grills but however this grill was canceled by you "Walmart" due to out of stock. I'm giving a review because I had purchased one before and wanted this one as a second grill for strictly camping, whoever buys this model coleman will not be disappointed.

The return process went well, easy. The new grill arrived, after inspection the leg locking clip was broken, which will not let the leg locker to engage. I will keep this grill. I hope it can be transported safely.

One of the holes for the bolts to attach the wheel wasn’t milled all the way. There was some extraneous metal inside the threads. I was able to chip most of it away with a screwdriver and then use a ratchet to force the bolt past it. The other problem was on the bracket that holds the legs up to the underside of the unit when you collapse it. They arrived ben inward and when I gently tried to unbend them, one snapped off immediately.

We have other Coleman Grills and this new one has many improvements. The new green grill arrived with badly damaged box and a 3 inch x 1/2 inch chip off the top lid. It was packed well and had good instructions. New design has a water tray to keep filled under element. Grill stands a bit higher so less bending over and the wheels are a little larger for easier movement. Instructions were for shipper to leave on north deck. They left it at south deck, blocking guest door.

Was missing one of the nuts to assemble. Had to get one from the hardware store. The center of the wheel was cracked so it doesn’t fit on the axle without wobbling when rolling.

Flimsy and cheap. Broken when it arrived. I had to add a few screws to the lid as it was broken there as well. Easy to assemble. Gonna try it hopefully it doesnt fall apart when i am grilling.

The enamel paint is chipped due to a dent. I don't want to return it or get a refund. Because it works but it's a bummer having something brand new and messed up right out of the box..

I ordered this for my father who has been wanting this item for quite some time. I gave it to him for his birthday and he was so excited to use it, he opened it immediately. As he was getting it all set up, he noticed there are scratches on it, right in the front of it!!! We are not happy about it at all. Very disappointing.
