oh boy does this stuff smell LOL but it's a better, way better alternative to bleaching your hair this is simply just stripping out all the color out of your hair that is from box dye. I dye my hair way more than I should and if I ever kind of want to start over fresh and not do a ton of damage by bleaching this is my go-to. I don't use it super often once in a blue moon maybe even once a year if that however this is the best stuff that's going to work if you really want to strip out color especially black dye I do prefer this conditioning one because it seems way less harmful to my dry curly hair and it always does the trick
It works extremely well as long as you're committed to following the directions exactly, including the FULL 20 minutes of rinsing! The rinsing is the most important part, do NOT skip it or shorten the time or it will just redeposit what you're trying to get out.
The last time i colored my hair, it came out too dark. I used oops and it removed the previous color. It actually looked lighter. I may not need to put more color treatment on.
Ruined my hair. I tried to die it light brown after like it says and the light brown hair color turned out black. It damaged my hair as well. Go to a professional for help do not use this item.
I have always either bleached the old out or continued to recolor, which has often times lead to more damage to my hair or unwanted layering of color. I wish that I’d discovered this sooner. I used it for removing a deep demarcation line from a dark color
Color Oops has saved me so many times. I’ve used it to remove years of black box dye and lighten my hair to blonde, and the fact I was successful I think that speaks for itself. Used it to remove a blue dye today, and it looks like my hair was never blue! Truly don’t know where my hair would be without it.
I had a unfortunate bad expereince with a blue hair dye. This is my go to color remover. IT IS AMAZING! Honestly, it will pull all old dye new dye out of your hair and it doesnt leave your hair really dry after words. The only drawback, is that it smells awful. Like be prepared for the worst smell youve ever smelled. It took me a couple washes to get the scent off my hair.
I used two whole boxes to saturate my hair completely. I followed the instructions exactly, including timing, but it hardly worked at all! There is barely a hint of change in color, was a hassle to use, and it was all for nothing. Now my hair is frizzy when it was smooth and soft before. I am disappointed and do not recommend this product.
This really works. I removed permanent red hair dye from my hair and my daughter removed permanent black from one side of her hair with one bottle of this product. It does smell pretty strong, similar to perm solution but worth it because it works. You need to rinse this for a very long time 20 minutes then at least 5 more minutes after shampooing several times. So the process is time consuming. Even after rinsing well you can still smell it in your hair for about a day. All worth it if you don't like your new hair color or you're ready for a change.
Works and doesn't dry out your hair, but smells really bad. Had to wash with apple cider vinegar as a deep conditioner to get rid of funk from the chemicals. Didn't get rid of the smell entirely. Ask a professional for help or you'll stink for the next week.
