Fit perfect in the window got for my laundry room to pull the heat out. You can tune either way. It was a good price too. I need to buy a couple more for the garage.
Good fan for the price. Fits well in window with no bug openings. Like the exhaust feature. Works without the window for tabletop use making it very versatile. I like the bug screen also. Saves electricity without using ac.
This fits my 22 inch bathroom window sill perfectly. It fits into my window height also. The item comes with a description of its noise level indicating 53db. Using a decimeter I found that in fact, at the lowest speed it was as they said. I also measured the noise levels for second and third speeds at approximately 59-60 and 69-70 respectively. The material is plastic and malleable...not the kind of cheap plastic that breaks or cracks with little effort. The power is adequate for a small bathroom and aided by its moveable fans in different directions. This fan is very convenient and I would recommend it to others.
Stand-alone fans were not cutting it so I purchased 3 of these Comfort Zone 3-speed dual window fans. I felt these were a bit expensive for what they were, but they do work well to get the air in, and out, of my "no cross-ventilation" apartment. I put one in the DR to exhaust warm air and one in a LR window to bring in cooler, outside air. When I came home that evening, my apartment must have been at least 15 degrees cooler than the air in the common entryway. Highest speed level is loud enough to make me increase the volume on my tv a bit. Middle speed is not loud at all and the "night time" setting, I think they call it, the lowest speed, is very quiet and would not keep me from falling asleep if I had the fan running directly behind my bed. I recommend running one unit on exhaust and another on bringing air in at the same time, as long as they're not right next to each other. These worked well for me that way and significantly cooled 3 rooms in the apartment. I wound up purchasing two additional units to have on hand.
This product is deceiving, first of all. I included a photo from the listing. It distinctly shows an arrow going out the fan, and an arrow going in. A pretty small detail, but it makes it seem like it's similar to other products that *do* that (blow in two directions). This does not. Many of these window fans genuinely have fans you can run in opposite directions. This creates a cross breeze because it pulls out stale air and pushes fresh air at the same time. That's what the image suggests this does. However, as shown in the second, real photo, the fans both run in the same direction. Whether you choose to output stale air or input fresh air, you can't have both. You have to physically remove the fan from the window and turn it around to switch. I encourage you to research why a cross breeze is much better at cooling a room than solely exhaust/input. It's a real scientific principle. Buying a fan that can do both at the same time is much more valuable, and you can find them for similar prices. So, hidden lying aside, how good is this fan actually? If you truly only need one direction (like a bathroom exhaust) or have another open window that can facilitate the cross breeze, how good is this fan? Actually very good. The quiet mode isn't silent, it moves a good amount of air, but it's a good setting. If you need it stronger, the stronger settings really amp it up. The product specs say it can an move about 250 cubic feet per minute of air on max setting. A standard apartment bedroom might be around 2000 cubic feet, meaning this can essentially cycle that size of a room every 8 minutes. For a comparison, box fans are generally half the price of this, can do up to 750 cubic feet per minute, and run more efficiently (larger, better blades). What I mean to say is, if you want a fan that exhausts and inputs, don't buy this. If you can fit a box fan on your window sill and want maximum cooling, don't buy this. If you want something small that fits in your room and is unilateral, buy this. I will be returning mine because a cross breeze is infinitely better than a unilateral breeze for cooling a room, and false advertising (or deceptive advertising) strings a deep personal annoyance in me with all the other fake advertising online and stupid AI products out there.
I would recommended as a fan for indoor table top use. When side extenders are pulled out, bugs/wasps can get inside unit and into my home. Bug screen only keeps them from getting in through the fan blades. Where the screen attaches is open holes for small bugs (faux ladybug’s) to get in. I gave it three stars because I bought it for window use to keep bugs out.
Not a big fan having to turn the whole fan around to exhaust air from the room. if I knew i had to do that i wouldn't have bought it lol i was looking for one where I can flip the switch and the blades would spin the other way to use the exhaust feature. I'm going to end up getting another one that does have that feature but u live and you learn lol
The product description online is extraordinarily deceiving. It suggests that the fan operates in both direction simultaneously, but what it really does is have a switch that allows you to operate both fans and either direction simultaneously.
absolutely horrible situation I was put in. I ordered this, it got to nc the state i live in then went 1700 mipes the wrong way got lost according to FedEx since they were the ones shipping it they had absolutely no information for me on where my package was Then I contacted Walmart Walmart was absolutely no help whatsoever the representative was rude Unhelpful disrespectful And overall very unpleasant I will never order anything off of walmart.com again after this experience considering this is the third experience like this in 30 days I've ordered Three packages And have yet to receive one Single package out of the group I also will be canceling my Walmart plus membership immediately due to this I have no idea how you guys stay in business like this. Absolutely disgusted
The pictures are not correct for this model. It does not circulate the air (one in and one out), and you have to turn the whole things around to change from in to out. Very misleading
