TBH, I had to cover up the Snap Effect for a bloody good Halloween reason, lol. Why my snap still has it is beyond me, Ha! I love it. For the price, this curler is worth it! Super Cute. Sturdy and Did NOT burn my hair off! I applied Tresemme Heat Protector Spray to my hair. Heat is perfect for my type of hair: 1-5, but sometimes I use 6-7, NO hotter than that. If you actually take the time to read the instructions, you won't have any issues. My hair is Japanese Fine, curls don't like to hangout a long time unless I use extra hold hair spray. BUT... The angel waves stayed into the next day, WITHOUT HAIRSPRAY and absolutely made me feel Goddess-like! <3 Definitely a MUST BUY and Perfect for a quick curl while traveling as well!! :)
I ordered three different sizes. I love curling my hair at home. The current sale price along with the style is definitely worth the try. If they’re gentle with the heat settings you shouldn’t have a problem with these. I noticed if you’re twisting it hard the plastic may pop off.
I wanted an inexpensive curl Iron so i got this $10 One and it does a really good Job i have used conair products in the past and they never disappoint.
I love this curling iron, it's made with ceramic material and is the right size I need. The make and material look like they will last a long time and that's what I was hoping for. Now I have two of them, one is a 1/2 inch and this one is a 3/4 inch, now all I need is a 1 inch to have them all.
This curling iron makes nice big curls and works well on my thin hair. It heats up a bit slowly, so thicker hair may need more time. The barrel is also a little short, so it may not be the best option for very long or thick hair.
The curling iron works fine, but I just bought it on April 16, 2025, so I’ve had it a little under 2 months, and the writing on the curling iron is worn off. It doesn’t say Conair on it anymore, the power on and off button and turbo button indicator writing is also gone. The numbers at the top where you can choose the turbo heat intensity is fading as well. I have been curling my hair for about 45 years now and I have had many Conair curling irons and blow dryers and I’ve never had this happen before.
The barrel is shorter than most irons. The on/off and turbo buttons and level adjustment are too easily manipulated while styling. I end up turning it off while styling my hair or the levels of heat slide too easily (by accident). It could be made better - not suggested for women who need a great hair tool.
You need to be very careful with the heat settings of this model! This got so hot it literally charred a lock of my hair to a crisp!!! No curling iron should be capable of doing that! I returned it right away and would not recommend it to anyone. A basic flaw is this model is the heat dial is too close to the lever button for opening the clip to make a curl.
Traumatized!!! Burned my hair on first use. Heat setting was on 10 of 30 as you can see in this picture. I preheated the iron, wrapped my first curl and could immediately smell my hair burning. The wand touched my hair for less than two seconds. Only product on my hair was Oleplex heat protector. Buyer beware!!!!
Too bad I was waiting for the new hair iron, and upon receipt it found the box open and the condition of the hair iron seemed to be used with scratches on the hand and dirty disappointment. I dont know if Wal-Mart sold me a hair iron that was used or was it replaced on its way
