why?

Brad June 10, 2026

I Asked for Lime. I Got Betrayed. I don't know what lime did to the people who made this product, but clearly there was a falling out of some kind. A bitter, acrid, unresolved falling out. Because whatever is in this bottle is not lime juice. It is lime's estranged cousin who lives in a storage unit and holds grudges. "Concentrate" implies that someone, at some point, concentrated something. Flavor was apparently not invited to that process. What they did manage to concentrate was the specific aftertaste of regret and a vague chemical note I associate with the inside of a garden hose. The pulp — and I use that word generously — has the texture of what happens when wet paper gets ambitious. It doesn't dissolve. It lingers. In your drink. In your mouth. In your memory. I used this in a margarita and my guests are no longer returning my calls. The color is a shade of green that does not exist in nature. Scientists have a word for colors like this. That word is "warning." I gave it one star because the cap worked flawlessly. Tight seal. Excellent cap. The cap deserves better and I think it knows that. Would not recommend to an enemy. Would absolutely recommend to someone who has wronged me recently.

What can I say about juice? 🤭

Alice May 11, 2026

So the human body is made of water more than half of your body regardless of age is water. So if you say you don't like water, you don't like yourself. So some people are like I don't like the taste of water. There is no taste to water unless something awful is in it and you shouldn't drink it. So add a few drops of this, make it lime water, and some ice helps try it you'll like it!!! and you'll be healthier and hydrated. Yippee!!!

Marinade and baste

San May 16, 2026

This was used as part of a recipe. We made carne asada on the grill, but used the lime juice in our marinade and as the meat grilled instead of having to juice out 15 limes by hand. It added flavor to the meat. We couldn't tell the difference between real limes and the concentrated version.

Blimey It's Limey

bisbeeblue2012 May 31, 2026

Be prepared for an UNWOKE word! It is downright LIMEY! Slang (often derogatory) for a British person, originally from the old timey 18th-19th century sailors who ate limes to prevent scurvy. So I shall go scurvy less when I make limeade and flavor other cooking with this fine little juicer!

It's a good way to keep your lime juice fresh in this container. I normally get the fruit itself rather than ready squeezed. But considering the last 4-5 times I bought my fresh limes they ended up getting hard before I could use them. I tend to have plans to make my salsa with the limes but when no one else wants it I don't bother just for myself. But eventually I do and by the time I'm in the mood for it it'll get hard. And since fresh limes weren't available at that time I opted to just try the ready squeezed version. It tastes good n I use it in my ice tea as well as my recipes. So I think this is a good option. It won't go bad right away. So win win when I can actually make something I'm in the mood for. Being a chef has spoiled me. Nothing I make is instant or quick. I actually work hard to prepare nice meals for my family. So they are all a bit spoiled as well. I hope others find this useful.

Lime w/preservatives; it's all good.

Estrella May 3, 2026

Well, this one is a little difficult. I prefer everything natural, but sometimes you have to go with these little gadgets. Obviously, it has preservatives which changes the flavor of the lime. The main reason I purchased it was to drink lemon water instead of antacids. Unfortunately, as a cancer survivor I have to take meds and some of them make me slightly nauseous. I'm trying to balance my stomach with lime or lemon instead of antacids. Sometimes I mix the lime with cold water and ice and sometimes I take the antacid, Sal de picot. All in all, it's a cute little container and it tastes fine. I'd prefer less preservatives, but such is life. Thank you.

It's the lime in me

Robert June 21, 2026

You have to keep a few of these,I been adding a little bit of lime juice to most of my meals,it's great in chili,as well as chicken and rice with some lime juice on the chicken, and I am thinking about marinating using some lime juice garlic and salt, very little amount of salt, and fresh ground black pepper for the liquid either pineapple juice or lemonade, not a lot, just enough to coat the chicken

I was missing the Shirley Temples my dad would get me when we went out for dinner. It worked perfect for the recipe. As far as sweetness rating I don't think lime is sweet. Otherwise my rating is based on the Shirley Temples which are sweet from other ingredients.

Lime Juice is a Favorite!

Flo June 16, 2026

I enjoy Concord Foods Lime Juice from concentrate sold at my neighborhood Walmart. The handy size bottle is unbreakable and delivers serving after serving of fresh tasting lime juice for my tea, ice water, and recipes. I find this product adds a delightful flavor to tea as well as my recipes calling for lime juice. I love black bean and corn salad and the recipe I favor calls for lime juice. With this container kept in my fridge, it's always handy and I always may enjoy fresh tasting lime juice. The product is offered at Walmart for a very reasonable price. I love it and I know you will too!
