Cook With Color Candy Thermometer – Essential Kitchen Tool for Candy Making and Baking

This is exactly like the Taylor thermometer and my Taylor thermometer was unusable because the mercury broke up leaving spaces so it would be inaccurate. I'm happy I got this one.

I've used a Good Cook candy thermometer for years and it worked but didn't sit right in pan and moisture would collect in the glass casing. I'm an avid candy maker and rely heavily on this equipment. I nwanted a new one that didn't have these issues and this thermometer fit the bill perfectly and made my candy making process and clean up a whole lot easier.

It was just like using our old one except now we can see the printing on the face of the thermometer. Very good quality and a good value.

This was just what I needed to make my homemade marshmallows. It is simple yet functional. It can be awkward to clip in a shallow pan, must be deep pans.

Great design was perfect for brittle and honeycomb. Washed well. It's slightly fragile, I believe, of course, because of the glass. So be easy washing. All around an excellent thermometer.

Very nice , heavy duty, great price

I like this thermometer because it does the job, and I was able to make my homemade donuts without burning or under cooking them. I like that it has a clop and is easy enough to clean. I did at first have trouble with reading the temp because of how the glass part distorts the red line, but I figured it out. Overall, I am happy to this add to my cooking tools.

It worked for what I needed to make. I wasnt able to clip it to the side of the pot, I think because it was a medium-sized pot, but it leaned inside and worked anyway. Kinda expensive if you dont make candy often,

the design is fine and i like that it has indicators for candy doneness. however, the temperature reading is off by about 10 degrees. I had two batches of candy that didn't turn out because they were overcooked. i guess I'll keep it but just know that the reading is off by 7-10°.

This thermometer broke the FIRST TIME I used it to make caramels! The temp started climbing then stalled out at 150 degrees as seen in my attached photo. Caramels were then turned into toffee, and all have since been eaten!
