This candy thermometer works great easy to use. I made peanut brittle. Never made it before. Turned out great. If looking for candy thermometer this is easy to use, easy to adjust to any position. Comes with battery too. So ready to use. The clip holds tight to pan. Easy digital screen, also chart for forms of candy temps. I used recipe temp. In my book, it matched range on chart.

This candy thermometer works so much better than the mercury rising type. It gives an instant temperature reading of the recipe you are making. I've used it to make marshmallows and for frying up fish and chips. There is no guesswork involved. And it clips onto the pan very easily giving a very visible and easy to see reading

I liked the length of the thermometer. It fit easily in the opening in the lid of my slow cooker. I especially appreciated the speed of displaying the temperature. I highly recommend it.

Used this to make fudge and it turned out great. However, the temperature reading kept going back and forth between numbers so I wasn't sure it was fully heated all the way. The clip worked great as well

Bought this for my daughter in law makes her candy making easierl the clip to the pan keeps the thermometer ion the side out of the way of stirring and the digital read out makes the a plus

The thermometer is easy to use, nice digital display and accurate, it held to the pot I was cooking in very nicely. The only thing I didn't like was the temp prints on the label were in white and the original I was looking at the time of ordering were temperature ranges printed in black. With the orange background, white is harder to read.

I purchased this digital thermometer primarily for candy making. Sadly, I find it not to be well calibrated, often being off by 5 or more degrees. I have used it for checking the internal temperature of meat; combined with checking the color of the juices released, it is usable for this purpose. The positives of this thermometer are its design - the extra long stem is nice for probing deeply into a large piece of meat and for reaching the bottom of a deep saucepan - and the ease of reading the digital readout. The major drawback is accuracy. If you are a candy maker and using this thermometer, have a backup test as well for best results.

Nice long probe but the pot-clip doesn't work! Thermometer won't stay attached to the edge of the pot/ won't stand up for very long. Easy to read digital temperature.

I love fish nuggets, and I'll measure my oil at all times this is quite accurate I believe and it's very easy to clean unlike some candy thermometers. This is just a rod that is so simple to clean and I wouldn't live without it. I tried those wide candy thermometers and threw it away. I didn't throw this away. I kept it.

the battery life didnt last through the cooking time which was about 30 minutes. I replaced battery with a new one and continued making my recipe when the new battery went out as well.
