Cool-Living 8,000 BTU 115-Volt Window Air Conditioner with Digital Display and Remote, White

I have another older unit of the same type, rating and model that still works great after three years. It was purchased locally and had some minor outside denting to the cabinet. We could not exchange it because the company did not have any more left in stock. The new one I just purchased through Walmart has had some engineering improvements like a bottom drain plug. It is good to see that this company is actively involved in improving their products. I like that the user manual is printed only in English with good diagrams an instructions. We have it on a 20 Amp circuit breaker, and it even works fine with a good Belkin surge strip with an 8 foot grounded cord on it. No problems with nuisance breaker tripping. The remote control feature is nice. Oddly, the Cool Living website says that this unit is sold out. Walmart knows where they are available. I could not pinpoint where these units are actually made. Like most things, they probably have materials made in many different places.

Excellent AC...did take awhile to figure out how to put everything together but once we got past that it was a breeze...it easily cools down my kitchen and living room and having a remote to control it is a plus...I recommend this AC to anyone wanting...

I am happy with this ac. I almost returned it before opening because of other reviews. I'm glad I didn't seems very well made from Indonesia. Remote also seems very durable and practical. Even comes with adhesive side insulation to put over acordian sides to insulate and keep hot air out.

It arrived this afternoon and within minutes our kids had installed it in our living room window. Our living room / kitchen is 20 x 25 and the 8,000 BTU AC seems to be perfect. It was packed well and everything we needed was in the box. Tomorrow is our 60th Anniversary and this was our gift to each other. Perfect for a Summer Anniversary! We love the remote.

Well it didnt arrive as specified but it's because o Feded delay not walmart's fault, this unit saved my life and my dogs and cats, my AC vent out and we have 98 degrees in the house, this unit is the only thing we have now, I put it in my window and my furry babies fell all better, it cools really good and actually at night it was very cold. ,

I am very pleased with how this air conditioner cools my home but it is dripping water from the front and I don’t think that is normal the air conditioners I had before did not do this so I think I will take this one back and replace it with another one hopefully it doesn’t do the same thing

The Cool Living 8000 BTU air conditioner is a good value. It performs well and is reasonably quiet. Installation was fairly simple. I set the temperature and put the adjustments to Eco mode. Haven't touched it since and haven't even used the remote. It has a sleep mode but I probably won't use it.

the air conditioner arrived late, and was shipped by fed ex. the box was beat up, of course when I opened the box up there was a piece missing from the air conditioner from the rough handling. the ac is kind of loud, remote does not do all the functions. you have to actually do that from the control panel. it will keep the area cool that it say it does

Quite a horrible product. A large piece of foam broke off inside the unit and was stuck in the fan. I contacted "Cool Living" about the product warranty it isn't worth the paper it is written on. They don't service the product at all.. They just tell you to return it.. Won't even offer a replacment.

bought this used it 3 months and compressor would not shut off. had to unplug it to stop it. called about warranty and was told I would have to call a local HVAC company and get it looked at they they would send parts to fix it. think it would cost more to have them look at it then to just buy a new one. I will never buy again.
