I have used Corelle products for over 40 years and found them indestructible And easy to wash This bowl is big enough to heat soups and veggies in microwave without it boiling over the edges - use it for oatmeal every day. Price is fair for its value.
Great size bowl (28 oz.) for making 1 serving of oatmeal in the microwave. It's large enough to help prevent boil over, BUT must be watched to prevent making a spill over mess. I think the price ($6.47) per bowl is high, but I wanted the floral design on its side. The plain white bowl is $5.97. The old Corelle bowls I've had for years still look new, but I've not tried testing their breakability by dropping one. These useful bowls clean well in a dishwasher.
The perfect size for soup chili and gumbo. Chip resistant. Made in the USA. The only thing I ordered 6 bowels and only received 4. 😖. Hopefully they will get some soon.
Great for every day usage. Durable. Product will last for a long time. I had a first set for over 30 years. It is still in good condition other than wear scratches on the plates from everyday use. But still in good condition with no cracks.
I love everything about my new 28-ounce Corelle Country Cottage bowls: the size, design, pattern, and they are a perfect fit for my Corelle Country Cottage dinnerware set. I use them everyday for just about everything, from cereal to salad to ice cream!
This is an interesting bowl. It has same diameter as the bowls in corelle 12 piece set but depth is double and the art work goes well with that on plates. A break-resistant light weight item. I am hoping that it may last another 20 years or more similar to my other Corelle ware. This is good for Soup or Cereal and even to store small quantitites of left-overs.
The product is DURABLE. This is my first purchase after a purchase maybe 50 years ago. The dishes are wonderful. They are light in weight and compact with stacking. They last for years so it is economical. The only reason for purchase is my needs have changed. We use bowls more for many meals. I purchased the deeper dinner bowls 28 ounces. My older Corelle soup and cereal 18 ounce bowls look almost new but have years of use. The 28 ounce bowls provide for a portion that may be "full meal size". You can make a great salad in it too. They are stackable and the bowls nest well. Four bowls stacked will take about 5-1/4 inches in vertical height. Not bad at all. The 28 ounce dinner bowls can be covered and stacked in the refrigerator, say for leftovers.. The older saucers ( from coffee cup and saucers) are almost the same diameter. If you have any saucers, you can use it as a lid for these bowls. The bowls are then STACKABLE. It is handy for space saving leftovers in the refrigerator. I use a piece of plastic wrap over the bowl and place the saucer on top, if i need it to be airtight. If you do not have any saucers, look for them at a yard sale. The appetizer plates are an inch and a quarter too large. The saucers can also be used to cover the round 4-cup Pyrex (glass) Store it bowls. The price for replacement lids(plastic)for the Pyrex Bowls are more than the whole product. I hope these are tips you can use.
These extras are fantastic to add on to complete corelle sets to maximize the usefulness of the dish sets. Unfortunately, the prices of the additional pieces is often higher than it needs to be. However, finishing or adding to a set can make the cost differential negligible. Love these nearly unbreakable dishes!
Like anything from this manufacturer, the durability is outstanding as long as you don't drop it. I chose these for cereal. I'm not trying to eat a massive bowl, but I want a little room to work with. These are just the right size for that. These would also be fantastic for stew. As long as you're not trying to hold it. Pretty thin heat will go right through. These are offered in quite a few color options and from single to six pack.
This was my second time buying this Corelle Bowl. I love the pattern and color and the size is perfect, especially for salad, soup and of course for big ice cream eaters. I enjoy eating soup in front of the TV and this deeper bowl makes it easier to carry if you want to avoid spills as with the smaller bowl. Of course, like always, make sure it's not too hot to handle. Now for the "however." I needed to buy another bowl, as I dropped one of the bowls (while empty) and it broke in pieces. So, they are breakable. I have had my other Corelle dishes for years and years. Yes, they are dishwasher safe.
