Style and function

Erin November 20, 2025

I absolutely love the look of this microwave! It's a great value for the price. My only issue, and it's minor, is that you need to push the stop button to open the door. I highly recommend this microwave for people who enjoy things with a little bit of style.

Easy 1 push 1 min start. keep pushing start and it will add seconds 20-30 sec. art a time. Haven't used to many other functions besides reheat and defrost. Love the smaller size. Will update as use increases.

Microwave 🙂

Shirley November 7, 2025

I'm very pleased with this microwave! My nephew's microwave was rusted in the back, so this was for him. He's blind, and he can use it! A miracle. I taught him out to set it!🙏❤️🙏

It is very easy to operate- very simple. Does the job nicely. Looks so cute on my countertop that everyone that sees ait compliments how cute it is. The retro look really sparks up my kitchen.

its cute and works well but...

pandj07 January 29, 2026

the unit is very heavy nearly 30 lbs! so for a countertop its fine but i have it on a cart so not great. takes some time getting used to the dials too.

Retro?

GrannaOnTheFarm December 19, 2025

I had never used a microwave with no numbers on it until this one. Once you get used to it it's OK. It's very simple, which is what I like. I wish it had the oval glass like the picture showed of some of them.

Frustrating!

Terri December 9, 2025

I didn't like that it came out of the box with a piece of styrofoam caught between the 2 pieces? of glass. There's no way to get it out and the manufacturer was NO help. They did not know if the pc. of plastic on the back side of the door is removable. It seems like it might be, but then again maybe not because it is adhered more than what it should be if you are suppose to peel it off (another question they could not answer). Frustrating!

I like the appearance but using it other than heating something up I don't like nor recommend. The glass plate comes off when in use . There's no constant maintained cooking temperature and cooking in it ; well hang it up . It doesn't get hot enough . I tried to get it replaced with another product the company offered and that was a negative.. I ended up buying another microwave unit that does everything it said.. Now I have this pretty little thing at the camp for taking up space .

Broke in 3 months: Dangerous to use: Buyer beware.

Lance March 1, 2026

My parents had this exact microwave for 10 years, and I have always really liked its simplicity, turn nobs and ease of use. I had no doubt that I would be getting one of these microwaves when I got my own place. I purchased one of these microwaves during Black Friday in November 2025, but was disappointed by how far the quality had dropped from previous versions, how inconvenient its operation is, and how dangerous it can be to use. One of the primary faults of the new microwave is a poorly designed door safety mechanism. This safety mechanism does not prevent the microwave from running with its door open, and can prevent you from opening the microwave when it is finished. You have to press the "end" button to unlock the door after the food has finished cooking to use this microwave. The end button only disengages the door lock sometimes, though. If it fails to disengage, you have to rattle the door while repeatedly pressing the end button to open it. This results in food being spilled in the microwave. The microwave is also very sensitive to being engaged and will turn on if you try to push it across the counter or accidentally bump it (even if it's empty). Also, it will turn on with the door open if you set a large bowl or a Tupperware container down too hard while placing it in the microwave. This has resulted in me accidentally microwaving my hands a couple of times. Closing the door will also engage the microwave every single time. You have to press end to stop it; otherwise, it will run continuously (even while empty), which also poses a safety hazard. Other Inconveniences: The microwave timer is also unreliable. Sometimes it will skip ahead and finish early. Other times, it will skip backwards and try to cook something for an hour. You have to watch it like a hawk while using it to ensure you do not overcook your food. The microwave can be underpowered and takes more than twice as long to cook food as one of my family's old 1200-watt Samsung microwaves. A baked potato will typically take 10-12 min to cook in this microwave. Lastly, my dad did not know about the new locking mechanism. When he tried to open the door without pressing the end, he ripped the door-locking mechanism out of the microwave, snapping it in half and rendering the microwave useless. I reached out to the microwave manufacturer (Costway) to see if I could purchase spare parts from them, as it had just fallen out of its Three-month warranty. They told me that they do not stock spare parts in the United States and would not be able to help me as the microwave was out of warranty. While it is likely that my microwave was just a one-off lemon, I will ensure I never purchase a Costway product again (especially given the inability to acquire spare parts). I also encourage you to be skeptical of appliances that seem super cheap and of companies that do not stand behind their products.
