Cooked my fish at 350° and they came out crunchy and perfectly cooked. The heat recovery was quick and typically recovered when the food was cooking in the basket still. The cleanup was a breeze and the heat recovery was quick and typically recovered when the food was cooking in the basket still. The cleanup was a breeze, and I'm so pleased that I made this choice instead of a pot type fryer. Temperature control was within 1° of an independent thermometer check.
I bought the t-fal that had a blower with a filter, paid 3 times more than costway. It was junk, could not hold temp., too big, the only thing nice about it was the air filter. I used the costway on a ice fishing trip with 12 guys there. I cooked up a bunch of smelt that i caught the spring before. I couldn't be happier.
I absolutely LOVE mine. I use two 48 oz bottles of cooking oil to meet the maximum line without going over it and is heated very quickly. The timer helps me remember to check the food because I'm typically completing tasks of the day. So far I've fried chicken, fish and fries in it and everything turned out absolutely delicious and picture perfect. Plus the price ($34.99) can't be beaten for its size and the amount of food that can be prepared at once. I wouldn't trade it for any other deep fryer because this one is amazing!
I cannot review how this cooks food because it was defective right out of the box. I set it all up, turned it on, thought there might be an issue because the red light didn't come on but then it never heated up. However I can review some other things about it. It's VERY light weight, thus proving it is a "cheap" air fryer. Aluminum casing/box and the insert pan is steel. The basket is kinda flimsy but will work if it's not overloaded. (shouldn't be anyway). I don't really like that the oil goes right into the pan with all the elements exposed, I wish they were sealed better but it's a cheap deep fryer so that's expected. It seems small and maybe it is, it is the only air fryer i've ever owned. that's all I can comment about since i couldn't actually use it.
This is an inexpensive fryer with a large capacity. It heats up in a timely manner and does a good job frying. It meets my needs very well. There are cons to this item. The knob are not well marked and difficult to read. Also, the knobs are very cheap! The timer knob broke the very first time I used it. I am still trying to find a replacement knob.
i hate that it doesnt have the temp for items so u turn to that n let it heat up and i dislike the auto shut off timer on it. i have to keep resetting it to get my food to the point where i prefer it. all my others worked so much better. i hate having to r
This item is cheap junk. Straight out the box the lid will not sit on it properly. The opening for the fryer handle is too small thus preventing the lid from sitting on it. It rocks off to one side or the other. I’m sending it back immediately.
this is my third deep fryer from Walmart everyone of them burnt out within a month I brought deepfryers from they do not last but a month this is ridiculous Walmart has the worst appliance I do not have the time or the patience to be running back and fourth to Walmart every month I'm done do not get your appliances from Walmart all three are in the garbage
I purchased this item recently and the power cord plug tore apart on first use. Absolute junk. I would not recommend this product.
well the first time I tried it light never came on but kinda blamed it on myself maybe not being patient. Today I decided to try it again and nothing. No light oil never got hot and I am a lil irritated with myself and the product not working. Not sure if I can return.
