Country Brook Petz® Martingale Heavyduty Nylon Dog Collar and Double Handle Leash - Hot Green - Large

I was worried when I discovered I had ordered this without a quick connect buckle. The way a Martingale collar works however, is not as a traditional choke collar that has unlimited constriction. The idea is to have a normal (non-choke) collar that has just enough constriction so as to make it impossible for the animal to pull and shake the collar off. Properly sized, the collar fits loosely around the neck and only decreases in diameter by about 1 inch or so. It doesn't ever really choke the animal. When pulled, the collar constricts just enough to make it impossible to slide over the back of the jaw. This effectively prevents escape. It does however; have plenty of room (when properly fitted) for the handler to deliberately slide it over the dog's jaw should removal be desired.

I LIKE THE LONG LEASH AND THE FACT IT HAS A WAY TO HOLD IT CLOSR IF NECESSARY . I BOUGHT ORANGE ,MOSTLY TO BE SEEN ON A BLACK AND WHITE DOG. HE HAS LOST HIS CLLAR BEFORE AND I NEVER FOUND IT,WITH VET TAGS, . THIS IS A BACKUP COLLAR BECAUSE HIS IS FADED.

Traffic leash and martingale collar are strong and well made.

The collar is well made with quality material at a reasonable price and the way it functions if your dog tries to take off after a rabbit, squirrel, or whatever other animals they like to chase. The design is absolutely genius... I'm now walking my dog instead of him dragging me around the neighborhood. I am so glad that I enjoy browsing Walmart's online link because that's how I stumbled across the collar and leash.

Love this collar and leash set! I have a husky mix and the collar is made where the loop adjusts and tightens when he starts to pull which is awesome. The leash is also great for training since it has an extra loop to keep him close when teaching to heel or when he wants to start running. Ordering another so I have it when he outgrows this smaller one since he's just a puppy yet. Well made durable fabric as well. Very highly reccomend!

I love the leash. But I don't like the collar. My puppy got his mouth caught in the small loop with the leash catch ring. My husband had to hold him while I cut the collar off him. If you use the collar. Make sure you remove it when not being supervised.

I ordered 2 sets in different colors but same size. I received 2 different sizes. Also, the ad says its a DOUBLE HANDLED LEASH. Only one has a 2nd handle. The leash w/out the handle is quite a bit longer. Disappointed.
