Crisco is a very pure vegetable oil that performs well at high temperature. It's also a light, tasty oil for use as a base in salad dressings. It's great for baking.
completely transparent taste oil. nearly no taste to add to foods, which is what you want frequently. it was reasonably prices for being such a small bottle. it's oil.
I don't really eat this oil. I have tasted it and it was light, clean and fresh. I mostly use it for cast iron seasoning. Works well for that. Two coats and you are good to go. I remember a family member who always bought generic and that vegetable oil was vile even when new. I have no problem recommending this. But with cheaper small products I always suggest trying generic and store bought if you can. Some people literally don't notice a difference.
TIP: Always buy Crisco brand over the generic brands. ...I have tried EVERY store name brand to save money, and those cooking oils DO NOT fry well, to say the least! ...The grease heats and fries the way oil does when 'water' gets in it, and that flaw makes 'frying to a crispy texture' IMPOSSIBLE! Buying the cheap oil will result in you ending up with a soggy, oil-soaked hunk of useless meat instead of the light, crunchy, golden-brown masterpiece that Crisco oil creates.
What can one say about cooking oil, I don't bake a lot so this size is perfect and doesn't go bad once opened
Except for olive oil, Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil is the only oil I buy. It's great for salad dressing or frying.
This is another one of those items I can't remember a time of it not being on the market. It's always been there, I don't use any oils like I use to, but this still works when you need it.
This is the name brand, crisp I just thought the bottle was gonna be bigger when I ordered it. I will be very careful next time and go back to the great value.
