I'm a senior citizen and I was looking for a easy to operate crock pot. I wasn't wanting a 2 page instruction manual. It's a 7 quart crock pot and that's plenty big enough for preparing food for 2-3 people. I recommend this product to people who just want a crock pot with 4 choices...off-low-high and warm. if that's what you're looking for this crock pot is SIMPLY PERFECT!!
I’ve recently purchased this after about 15 years of an older version with a black crock and stainless exterior. I LOVE the color of this with the white crock. It looks so great on my countertop when I’m using it. It works well. I made a pork roast and set it to low and it cooked it beautifully. I didn’t notice the outside being 3rd degree burn hot like the old one. I have kids, so I like that it’s a bit safer. Overall, recommend and the color is great. Hopefully, this one will go another 15 years!
This is the best! For the price everyone needs to get one. Large crock you can make anything you can imagine in it. I did a 13 lb chicken complete with vegetables. Slow cooked per instructions and had the tenderest - juiciest chicken I have ever made in 55 years of marriage. Love my new Crockpot!
After my old crock pot quit working I bought this. The difference in how cheaply this is made now compared to my old one that lasted 10 years was surprising. The exterior “shell” and bottom of the crockpot is very thin and obviously is not insulated well if at all. This exterior becomes way too hot in opinion, especially if you need to cook anything on the high setting. The exterior of the crockpot gets so hot that it will cause severe burns! I know it has handles for a reason. I just accidentally brushed up against it while having to lift it so that my husband could slide a thick cutting board under it because it was scorching my countertop. It burned my arm so badly that it blistered. In all other functions it works fine and is a good value for the price I suppose. Though if you need to use it on high keep it a good distance away from anything it could burn or melt. If you have young children in the home I wouldn’t use this at all. The exterior gets so hot that it’s dangerous.
I love the colors. I really like the teal and the white on the inside. It does have a few chips but not a big deal. It will still do what its suppose to do. The knob on lid was pretty loose so i did tighten it a little but doing so stripped the screw so won't be able to get it any tighter.
the bowl is very loose when sitting in crock pot.. the outside of said crock pot feels flimsy.. like just a piece of thin sheet metal covering outside of it.. rim can be dented with finger.. actually a little afraid to use.. not sure if will hold up.. will probably return.. the item does look nice though..
What happened to Crock Pot Brand high quality and reliability? Had the older version of this model for almost 15 years. My daughter needed one, so I gave it to her as it was still working great. Wish I'd kept it. This is the same basic model and I saw that it was on sale so bought the pretty color to go with my kitchen. Big mistake. The minute I took it out of the box was amazed how light it was; not half the weight of my old one. I thought the light weight was due to advanced technology, but no. The light weight is more likely due to cheaper production costs. The inside ceramic pot gets as hot on Low as it does on High! The Warm setting doesn't give off enough heat to keep anything warm. Also, The lid doesn't fit properly and I would imagine let's out too much heat. I guess that partly makes up for the ridiculously high temp of the low setting [sarcasm]. I've used it twice and since I was there to watch it was fine, but that defeats the purpose - I would never leave this unattended. I'm sad. Crock Pot was one of the brands I was able to depend on. Glad I kept the box .
Crock pot used to be the standard in slow cookers. Now they can't make a product with a kid that actually fits? It also doesn't heart evenly. One area of my mac n cheese bubbled and burned while the rest wouldn't heat up. Never again. Returning this garbage and searching for a brand that cares about quality. ps-Don't bother responding to my review. There is nothing you can possibly say to ever keep me from spreading the word on how terrible your quality has become.
This is super cute, but at the end of the day I need the croc pot to be safe! If you go to scoot it back to the corner of the counter it is only on 3 peg legs and tips really easily. I am worried that my children will try to scoot it away from where they are working and spill boiling liquid on themselves. This is a major design flaw.
I was so excited to buy this. It was so pretty in person. I took it out of the box and went to wash it. I noticed that there was a rusty spot on one of the little grooves in the top lip of the ceramic bowl. I returned it and bought another one. I barely got the second one opened and noticed a paint spot or chip spot inside the ceramic bowl on the bottom where the food would go. I didn’t feel safe putting food in it, so I returned it. Both of the ceramic bowls also had a ripple effect inside the bottom of them, which didn’t seem right. I didn’t want to buy it a third time. I always trusted this brand. Nothing is made like it used to be.
