I have the aroma version of the instapot and i (as a deaf person) have had nothing but brown eyed agony with that thing because i can’t hear the beep when it’s time to release the steam and my rice always ends up weird so i decided to take a chance on this. I’m so happy with it!!! It is very much a set it and forget it system and i love that it’s the perfect size for just lil ol’ me! My rice came out perfectly tender and each grain still separated as opposed to being a hot gluey mess! Sooo gooood
I love this cooker. The cooker works well and easy to clean. To make rice for my self I fill the removable crock insert using the 1 cup mark line on the crock, then I fill up the little plastic cup that come with the to the top, I use the same measurement for oatmeal also. I have cooked rice and oatmeal and I’ll try Mac and cheese next time. I have not used the steamer part yet but plan on cooking using it to cook soft boiled eggs. The cooker will hold five large eggs! The cooker is just the right size for one or two people and doesn’t take up much space on my counter. I use the rice cooker so much I keep it on the counter. BUY IT!
Perfect little rice cooker/steamer. I am a widowed senior with arthritis. This little gem makes cooking easy for me with no leftovers or waste. Steams a couple of cups of rice perfectly while cooking my veggies in the little basket. Perfect size for single person or maybe a couple. Hint, I unplug it after cooking so it doesn't dry out or burn the rice. So glad I purchased it!
Just like the picture works very good I love it will biuye again it makes rice fast fast you guys got to Buye it you will be so happy you did just right for my little family I got to get my daughter one for Christmas gift it came with everything to I am so happy happy I got the rice cooker just for 20
When using the rice cooker, it is a little messy. One cup of rice and 2 cups of water generates a lot of steam and there’s a lot of spitting and sputtering from the lid. I suggest putting a platter under the cooker so it doesn’t mess up your countertop. in addition to the steam, some of the starch I think is also coming out at the same time. That is what lands on the counter and makes a mess. I have only used it for small batches so far. At this point, I cannot tell you how messy it is with a larger batch.
This rice cooker almost burned down my kitchen lol. I’m extremely disappointed with this rice cooker and the customer service behind it. The unit worked fine for about 3 months, but right after the return window closed, it failed in a pretty serious way. The auto shut-off stopped working, which caused the cooker to overheat and burn the plastic—actually damaging part of my kitchen. This wasn’t just a minor defect, it was a safety issue. I immediately contacted customer service and provided clear photographic proof. They reviewed everything and **approved my claim in writing** through email, stating they would send a replacement unit. Sounds good, right? Not so fast. A full month went by with no update and no tracking number. When I followed up, they suddenly changed their stance and said: “Unfortunately we cannot process your claim if there is no unit available. We would need to see images and videos…” That makes no sense. I already submitted proof and was approved. And of course I’m not going to keep a broken, potentially dangerous appliance sitting around for a month while waiting for a response. This feels like a bait-and-switch: approve the claim, delay the process, then backtrack and ask for more evidence again. Completely unacceptable. Between the product failure and the lack of accountability from customer service, I would not recommend buying this rice cooker.
Purchased in September. In October it stopped working and smelled like burning electrical. I submitted a warranty claim and filled out all the info and the denied my claim. This was a total waste of money. Hunk of junk! Buyer beware don’t fall for the pretty color
Loved item and recommended it to others, but then after using it maybe 10 times it shut off during cooking time. When I turned it back on sparks came from cord where it attached to cooker. What I had praised turned out to be a fire hazard. Of course, this happened soon after return window passed.
I’m not one to review a product but this was probably the worst kitchen appliance I’ve ever purchased. Within minutes of turning it on my entire kitchen smelled like burning plastic. I took it right back and got my money back. I know that very few people will see this review but I hope it helps.
The item worked for about a week and stopped cooking totally. I reached out to Aroma directly and submitted a claim so I can get an exchange as it's under warranty. Mistake was thinking it would be easy. They requested a copy of the receipt and a picture of the item which I provided, and now no response. I've reached out several times with no response. Whatever you don't purchase this item or purchase from this clown show of a company.
