This mini sandwich grill is perfect for anyone who just wants a quick grilled cheese . Personal preference: I cut the crusts off the square sandwich bread. It's so easy to use, I just butter the bread, set it in, add a couple slices of cheese, relish %26 capers -- and a few slices of anchovies if I'm feeling adventurous -- close it and my lunch is ready in just a few minutes! This is my favorite little machine, as I am unable to stand at the stove to cook on my own. Any bread will do -- sour dough is usually cut in larger slices, so trimming it to size is easy. Clean-up is easy too: just wipe with a wet cloth, maybe a drop of dawn dish soap, and "rinse" with a clean damp cloth and leave open to dry. Be careful! It's hot, so let it cool before cleaning. If you want to add tuna to a grilled cheese, use a regular stove-top pan, as this is a little too mini for fat sandwiches. The Mini Sandwich Grill arrived at my house just 2 days after I ordered it, in perfect condition, so I am very happy about that. If you want to order it for a last-minute gift, it's the perfect idea.

I love that I can use this for more than just sandwiches! I make omelets, and fry up mashed potatoes like hashbrowns. I use it to sauté up thinly sliced onion and mushrooms to go into my omelets or sandwiches...I've made French toast with it as well.

I like that you can make grill cheese for the whole family in just a few minutes! You can add meat, veggies, seasoning, greens, and it's all great and healthy! The only thing I might change is have a double so it's a little faster for larger groups and families. My husband can make great sammiches too!

I love my sandwich maker! I tried last night with a tuna fish sandwich. Just click the clip on handle %26 it was nicely warmed throughout in under 1.5 minutes plus seamed for easy pull apart no knife needed to cut. if you want hotter or darker toasted bread, leave a little longer. I used just a little butter spray. Easy to wipe down after no stickiness or discoloration after using. Super easy to use, cool, clean, %26 put away or leave out.

So convenient, just place bread, cheese and bread again, close the lid until you put the level on a closed position. Super easy. Just be careful because it’s hot. Work super quick and easy to clean. Handy to add a grilled cheese with no mess to your soup and salad.

where has this been all my life?? This makes a PERFECT grilled cheese %26 tomato sandwich. Per-fect. The only bad thing is cleaning it. Use Pam!! It's a nightmare otherwise. I have made paninis, quesadillas, sandwiches....all in the space of a couple of minutes. This (and my fav spatula) is now my very fav appliance!

It does as advertised. It has no automatic shutoff so it is important to unplug as soon as you finish. I thought that when it is open it would shut down but it does not. It gets extremely hot and requires careful handling to prevent burns. Sandwich filling is limited.

I literally put one thin slice of ham a slice of cheese on two slices of bread like a sandwich and it wouldn’t close all the way what exactly are you supposed to put in it a piece of wax paper for it to close it was only $12 so you get what you paid for I guess I do not recommend it.

The product works and is easy to clean, but it flattens the sandwich almost to thickness of a pancake. I tried a simple grilled cheese with regular sandwich bread and it was OK but I'm disappointed. I don't see how additional ingredients, like tomato, can be added without it becoming a flat mess. If you're cooking something that should be flat this product would work well, that's why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1. I'm putting this in garage sale pile and going back to my frying pan.

It is OK for college students and dorms if they only wanna put one piece of cheese in between two pieces of bread. If you want more than one piece of cheese or ham or onions or anything like that, you really can’t use this thing without pushing down on the lid, which they tell you not to do.
