This is so nice. I wish I had bought the more expensive rice cooker from this brand to enjoy more items that can be cooked. This beats out the Aroma Rice Cooker hands down. When I used the Aroma for 4 cups of rice my rice was always scorched. No so with this brand. Cooks perfectly. I have went through 3 Aroma rice cookers because they do not last long, under two years. For the money and how well this brand cooks rice I will purchase again.
This rice cooker is a must have. It's easy to use, affordable and cleaning it is a breeze. The vegetable steamer is a plus. It not only cooks different types of rice but porridge as well. Easy to follow instructions in the manual. It also comes with a measuring cup.
I needed a much better rice cooker than that one I had been using for years. After consulting with several of my Asian friends and looking at several rice cooker models at a local Asian super market, I chose the Cuckoo Rice Cooker %26 Warmer 6 Cup. The 6-cup model cooks more than enough rice for my wife and I, and occasional guests. One of the best features of this model is the water levels for the different types of rice are clearly labeled in white. This is so handy. I like the flat design with the fold down handle. The size of this model is easy to store. I have cooked brown rice, Jasmine rice, and long-grain rice. The results have been excellent. The cooking options are clearly labeled. Another terrific feature that I like is the warmer for the cooked rice. Even after 4 hours in the warmer stage, the rice was very warm and moist.
Great value for the price. This is my second smart "micom" rice cooker. I was considering a unit twice the price to replace my old unit with a flaking inner pot, but ended up going with this one and I'm glad I did. I've used it over a dozen times with brown and white rice and it comes out great every time. The inner pot seems to have a quality, thick nonstick coating that should last a while.
Making dinner has never been easier. As a mom, I’m all over the place in the kitchen and not having to babysit rice is such a blessing. I’ve used a rice cooker in the past, more basic one button model and this one is 100% better. I use Jasmine rice and the option for Jasmine rice is amazing. Recommend 10/10.
FINALLY!… A rice maker that does NOT spit and works like it's supposed to!…AND FOR THIS PRICE!…get one. P.S. This truly is my very first review EVER!…and I'm old.
I got this because I needed a second rice cooker and I like this brand. However, this particular model takes up a ton of counter space. I have another same cup amount rice cooker from this brand that takes up maybe 2/3 of the space that this one takes up. So it works great but it's just huge.
This is an OK rice cooker. The rice doesn't turn out nearly as nice as my Zojirushi rice cooker. Since I wanted to take my Zoji to work and didn't want to spend a lot for something at home, I opted for this. The capacity is larger, and I like the steam tray. Super easy to use. I like the different settings. Not super fast, but for my 1-pot dinner recipes, it works fine. You get what you pay for. I would say for the $49 price point it is very good, just don't expect it to work as well as a Zojirushi. Rice is comparable to what you get from an Instant Pot, so if you have that, don't bother buying this, looking for a better quality cook.
I gave this rice cooker as a wedding gift. Unfortunately the timer is broke and it continuously cycles without a cook count time so she has no idea when the rice will be done. Regrettably, I cannot return this item because it’s past the return date. I do not recommend.
I was very disappointed with the bad taste the rice turns out when cooked in this. I really had high expectations. couldn't handle the taste. Had to return it
